Some customer reviews of HP Folio 13-1000EA Ultrabook

Most helpful reviews

David, London Business user

Score 6.0/10
Good points:
Very well constructed. Solid, quality feel. I needed a portable workhorse that would withstand the rigours of daily use and travelling. The Folio isn't lightweight by any means, but I made a conscious decision to trade ultra light weight for robust construction and an anticipated 5 year lifespan.
Bad points:
Too early to say, but first impression is the screen isn't as vibrant as other laptops on the market and sound from the speakers is adequate at best. Then again I wanted something for work (Word, Excel, Ppt, email etc) and it seems fine for this purpose. I would have thought the screen processors might struggle to watch films and gaming if that's you're thing, but I didn't buy it for recreational use.

Graphics performance not brilliant, but I wasn't expecting it to with Intel graphics

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Lightweight and powerful, nice piece of kit very happy with it so far.
Bad points:
Bundled bloat ware, anti virus, snapfish, this that and everything. Why can't they just put all this junk on a DVD in the box, then if we want to install it, we can.
