Good points:
It's nicely sized, not too heavy and I like the screen.
Bad points:
Initial setup into Windows is the normal, unnecessarily complicated, Microsoft garbage but once in, it's all pretty good.

Good points:
AMD A4-5000 Quad core processor. Look this up on cpubenchmark and you will see it beats others at this price point. everything seems to work as expected.
Bad points:
Disk is a bit slow, overall the laptop feels a bit flimsly and fragile; the case flexes easily. Other than that my only gripe is the grindingly sluggish speed of the (one per user) £30 HP cashback promotion - HP took approx. 3 MONTHS to get this to me. (you have to wait one month before applying for the cashback and then they take "up to 56 days").

Good points:
This product would have scored higher for ease of set up without the Windows 10 upgrade. It's light smooth and swift in operation
Bad points:
Nothing bad. It hasn't been given heavy use yet mind you.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Excellent value for money, easy set up, (and I am definitely not a computer whizz)...... looks nice, lightweight. I only use it for general internet use, shopping, email, storing/sharing photos and social media/Skype etc but it absolutely does all I need. It comes with trial McAfee & trial Windows Office but I've downloaded WPS which is a great free substitute for Office.Yes, fingerprints do show up but are easily wiped clean. I would definitely recommend without hesitation.
Bad points:
Unfortunately i initially had a problem with the operating system..... After 7 weeks, It suddenly disappeared!! Hence delay in review. However, fortunately still covered by the warranty and the service from HP was excellent. Tried to fix over the phone, but unable to, therefore they sent me a recovery disc.
Small issues: Keyboard is not very "deep" so takes a bit of getting used to, but only if you're used to having deeper clunky keyboards keys....... I don't have any problems with the mouse pad. Not keen on Windows 8.1 but that has nothing to do with the actual product.
