Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Performs very well after removing a lot of bundled software, but that's true for most laptops with pre-installed software.
Bad points:
None really, battery life is a little poor, but again, that can be common to most laptops.

Bad points:
laptop is good but windows operating system is awful and I didn't get an option to get anything other than the 8. I really hate it and it colours my view of the actual laptop. Given the choice I would have bought anything that gave me windows 7 rather than this.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
As a first time buyer of a laptop, my ratings could be a little off in comparison but I hope what I share helps.

Battery Life: It lasts as long as it does on a performance level, so it depends on what you do with it.

Design: Smooth design and feel to the overall laptop.

Size and weight: I assume its average in comparison to other laptops.

Performance: Boots really fast, Currently using this as a casual gaming laptop. I run WoW on medium to high settings (bouncing between 15-30fps in normal 10m raids). Plays all my Steam indie games on highest graphics and my more demanding games I play on my PC so I cannot comment there.

Value for money: I bought this during a sale as I was quite lucky with timing but after comparing other laptops within this price range, I found this to be the optimal one and was going to buy regardless.

Overall rating: I am pleased with my purchase and as I have said, it does all I need it to as a casual WoW and Steam gamer. For any artists that use Photoshop etc, I occasionally run CS6 with no problems (given my canvas size is usually A4/A3). As far as windows 8 goes, I don't understand why people complain as I have adapted to it quite well.
Bad points:
These bad points are of a personal preference and do not effect the actual score of the laptop.

Battery Life: None

Design: Could ask for the keyboard to be a little bigger as my hands are quite large and can sometimes be a little uncomfortable when playing games for a long period of time.

Size and weight: None

Performance: Windows 8/8.1 took a long time to install/update so this is a preemptive warning as it does take time (well it did for me).

Value for money: None

Overall rating: Nothing bad to directly say about this laptop.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Great laptop for the money. Good performance from the basic 'Pentium' processor. Very fast to boot - just 10 seconds or so to get to the desktop.

Generous 6GB RAM and 750GB HDD.

Lovely keyboard, much prefer it to those that try to cram in a number-pad as well, which puts the mouse pad off-centre.

Excellent battery life and very quiet, cool operation.

For an entry-level laptop, you can't go wrong with this machine.
Bad points:
The performance of the integrated graphics is OK, but it will not be suitable for gamers.
