Sandra, Camberley Occasional cook

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
The gas rings are, I am sure more powerful than my old model and the oven heats up very quickly. The fan is very quiet
Bad points:
I chose a white finish and I found I quite often left the gas on because I barely noticed the flame against the white enamel. Now I make a point of double checking.
Altho I checked the measurements it seems to be further out from the wall and so restricts the cupboard next to it. The gas fitter wouldnt push it further back. Maybe I'll take another look at it

Good points:
The dials at the front means that the gas rings are slighly bigger and makes using big pots better they balance easier
Bad points:
The door to the main oven is slightly difficult to use and might be easier if the handle was on the side where it opens rather than across the top

Good points:
Looks good. Price is great. Two ovens is useful as is the timer for the main oven.
Bad points:
No seperate timer for the smaller electric oven and gas makes more sound than what we were used to - although this is actually helpful to remind you that the gas is on!

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
I think the dual fuel is a great idea, especially having a double oven.
Bad points:
The grill pan could be improved in so much that it could be pulled out and stopped on the rail without falling or the handle coming off.

Good points:
I needed a cooker that met both our requirements, new partner like his eggs cooked on gas. and i liked to be able to set oven to cook while I am out. and this does just that. I looked long and hard at all sorts of cookers and this was the best and the price was reasonable.

Bad points:
haven found any yet.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Looks good, compact for double oven, easy to clean and very quiet operation.
Bad points:
Takes a while to get to know locations of hob gas knob controls, should be a better visual on each knob, have to bend down to read what knob to use.

Electrical connection box is very bad design, no instruction how to open and when I rang Hotpoint they said to force it, that not the way at all, I had to locate box manufacturer on internet and take a look at what they say as to how to open it, basically you need 2 thin screwdrivers, even then it was not easy.

Hand book not all that helpfull someone who knows what they are doing should read this book and make the necessary changes, specification very poor.

Electrical Spec is bad, states 32 amp in one place and says you need a 13 amp fuse in another, what should be stated is the full working maximum load in KW.
