Good points:: Reasonable length cycle times.
Drying sensor ensures that dryer only running for minimum time.
Good value for money.
Good capacity
Bad points:: Water empty light remains lit at all times and flashes to indicate that water needs emptying (a little confusing).
Noisey, but then as our first dryer not sure if this is disimilar to other makes.

Good points:: The water tank being at the top instead of the bottom. There is a timer for drying that goes upto 160 mins due to the fact the preset ones are not good.
Bad points:: Preset programs are rubish due to the fact that the auto switch off sensor is too sensitive as the clothes are still wet when it finishes.

Vented dryers have a hose which transfers the waste, damp air out of the machine and through a hole in the wall or a window to the outside. They are less expensive than condenser machines but the hose means they need to be placed by an outside wall. Condenser machines collect the excess water within the machine which can then be emptied after use. They therefore do not need a hose and can be placed anywhere in the house.
