Good points:
none
Bad points:
Does not respond when using the pointer stick thingy; which in turn makes you give up using the ipaq and physically look in your contacts in your written phone book - instead of immediately accessing the contacts on the ipaq!!

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Good clear screen and reasonably quick CPU. Comes with a USB cradle which is useful for synchronization and makes it easy to access on your desk.
Handwriting recognition is quick and reasonably reliable (slight edge on Palm).
Battery life seems to be reasonable - I can get 3-4 hrs of continuous use (WiFI/Bluetooth off & screen dimmed)
Bad points:
Bundled with Windows CE 5 which is significantly out of date (you will find plenty of current software which will not install).
Network setup is what you would expect from Microsoft - lousy. If you want to synchronize with Vista, then you won't find the software on the CD. Instead you will have to go and register with Microsoft to download it. Palm is way ahead here.
The HP Protect Tools are slow and fairly unstable. If you need device encryption, then be prepared for long (30-60s) delays at power up and frequent resets. If you can manage without, then the iPAQ seems to be very reliable.
Overall, not a great deal to differentiate between the iPAQ and a Palm. Each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
I use my PDA to help me through my bad memory. The ability to synchronize with my desktop PC is superb.
Bad points:
The ability to use the PDA as a sat nav is very misleading. The literature doesn’t tell you that you need separate hard wear, or where to purchase it.
I do have to restart more regular than I imagined. The battery indicator on the desktop very seldom works correctly.
