Good points:
If you use the producet with Virtual DJ or the pro version it works smoothly and easily. Other supported software such as FutureDecks Pro allows easy, quick midi programming. As it is USB powered you do not need to mess around with finding lots of power points when you get to a venue.

While it is sleek and stylish, it does still feel robust - the jog and master volume in the centre take getting used to, but after some practice live mixes are overly easy - it sometimes feels like you're cheating, but hey! Nice little features include the carry case (with a pocket inside for cables), two phones sockets (you can only use one at a time, but it meana you can plug in at wherever is more convinient).

It isn't light, but thats a good thing, as it feel firm and secure on a table, which means you can be a tad more agressive hitting the crossfader without the desk moving.
Bad points:
I had some driver problems on both XP and Vista initially, but after playing around a bit its working great! Always make sure you have a chance to play with it over a long period of time before you use it live. I found that it would work perfectly for an hour and then the midi controls would get confused (when using programmes other than Virtual DJ) and thus i had to shut down the software, which was slightly embaressing - however, once its stable it works fine.

It does not have and XLR input for a mic, which is slightly annoying and i would love to see more programable buttons, including variable pots, as you can only do so much programming binary buttons.

As its powered by the USB, you can get quite loud mains hum on some laptops, so you need to turn the volume up on the laptop and down on the desk.

The jog wheel is not touch sensative so if you touch it the track won't stand still - this is annoying if you're used to records, but you get used to hitting pause with your thumb.

Charlie, London

Score 6.0/10
Good points:
Fairly easy to set up, had to obtain a suppressor to limit interfernce connecting in series with line o/p. easy to assign buttons for various effects, good thing about this is you dont have to purchase a seperate peice of kit to use the headphones, i have used this on various occassions and didnt fail once, (just have to remember to cancel the rewind when starting the tune again.
Bad points:
play button does not have the stutter function like the Numark and the buttons are quite stiff, response on fader is quite slow, selection of tunez should have been on the rotary and not on the up & down arrow buttons, i have to keep using the laptop to select folders.
