Good points:
Great battery life and yet great performance when plugged in. Although you can't control the performance settings with a keyboard button (it's part of the power settings) it does exactly what you want it to do.
Bad points:
All of the ports are very poorly located at the front of the laptop so they, and all the cables, actually get in your way.

The left shift button is shrunk for some reason, maybe to make space for the strangely enlarged shift on the right. But it's strangely frustrating in design and ends up with me hitting \ a lot.

Also, for some reason- maybe since mine was refurbished - my function key doesn't work or do anything so all of my keyboard shortcuts don't work anyway.

Good points:
Laptop is lifted up using battery block as a leg. This design feature helps to cool processor and increase motherboard and battery lifetime.
Good processor speed. All remaining parts (HDD, RAM) has very close communication speed (FSB) with processor so performance I can rate 9 of 10.
Was able to divide hard drive in two parts and install Ubuntu along windows.
Ubuntu had nearly all needed drivers, except battery.
Real battery life time is bout 5 hours (watching video or browsing web) instead declared 8 h.
Sensitive mouse-pad with edge, so you always feel where you are.
Bad points:
First thing is USB slots. 3 slots are located on right side close to the front edge. Connecting peripheral devices wires occupy space for mouse. At least 2 slots could be located on right top corner where was plenty space for them, but now security hole is instead.
Here was no bluetooth device which was declared on web site.
Extra numerical keyboard located on right side moves the main keyboard to the left, which is not very convenient then you working 8 hours/day. I prefer to have centred keyboard.
In BIOS I do not have any chance to change video memory RAM.
Seems BIOS has some bugs and do not read boot sectors from USB Flash disks.
DVD-ROM is very weak. It is spending too much time to read even best quality DVD disks.

Gavin, London Often on the move

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Fast and quiet, no complaints about performance and generally a good all-rounder.
Bad points:
Design could be a little better, frame around an overly refelctive screen is particularly flimsy. Battery life good, although less than advertised.

Score 6.0/10
Good points:
You're unlikely to find a Core i7 for this price anywhere else.
Bad points:
Been having problems with connectivity and slowdown in general performance on a fairly regular basis.
Keyboard has a cheap, plasticy feel and the lip of the laptop isn't rounded which causes it to scratch on the palm/wrist when typing.
