- Good points:
- Very detailed mapping, (checked against remote areas I know well - better than my previous unit) good, big bright screen which dims automatically at the right time. 'Main Menu' can be manually set to provide the options you need. Location finding facilities seem good even for locations that don't have a postal address, the 'Browse Map' combined with the 'Crossroad' function is good for this. Haven't actually used it seriously as yet. Lot of extras available such as live traffic cameras, although these are 'Subscription' based. but good if you want them. Like all Sat Nav's, the advice they give needs to taken with caution, the one routing option they don't give is 'Most Sensible'. Dummy runs on this one seem very good but only time and experience will tell!
- Bad points:
- Not many so far, the windscreen mount seems a little over complex with the powers supplies going through the mount itself. Possible area for long term unreliability, but this obviously needs to be seen in due course. If the 'Browse Map' function had been backed up with a touch screen 'Go There' function, that would make remote locations much easier to identify and mark, but that is perhaps a function not many would use. But these should not really detract from what seems overall a very good unit.
