Digital Cameras Buyers' Guide

Manufacturer's Description

With the Fujifilm XF1, attractive retro looks meet extreme imaging power and a whole suite of creative features. Complete with the ease-of-use of a family compact, the XF1 delivers professional results in a package that fits right in the palm of your hand. Exceptional low-light performance is ideal for indoor shots and nights out, while Full HD video recording will capture those moments where a picture just won’t do.

Key benefits:

A fusion of aluminium and leather construction not only looks good – it’s lightweight and durable too.

The XF1’s fast f/1.8 lens allows poorly-lit subjects to be photographed without raising sensitivity levels, keeping noise to a minimum. All elements are subjected to Electron Beam Coating process.

The 2/3-inch 12 megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor features FUJIFILM’s three switchable sensor modes to capture the best shot whatever the conditions. Noise is kept to a minimum without boosting sensitivity, while camera shake and subject motion are prevented due to high shutter speeds.

When bright sunlight makes composing or viewing the monitor difficult, you can press the E-Fn button to quickly switch to Monitor Sunlight Mode. Enjoy comfortable framing and previewing of shots on the large 3-inch high-contrast 460,000-dot screen with its tempered glass, scratch resistant finish.

The EXR processor offers a fast AF in dark scenes, as well as a 0.55 second startup time and 0.8 second shooting interval.
Enjoy up to 4x optical zoom with up to 8x using digital enhancement. Essential for getting up close tto your subject and capturing more detail from a distance.

A twist of the zoom ring and the XF1 powers on. In portable mode, the lens retracts fully inside the body, minimising camera size. In standby mode, the lens partially extends but remains closed. And with one more touch of the ring, you can activate the camera ready to start shooting.

The XF1 offers six art filters that can be selected and previewed on the screen before you take the picture. Pop Colour creates more vivid images, Partial Colour creates amazing colour contrast on monochrome and Dynamic Tone creates more dramatic contrasts.

With Motion Panorma 360 just sweep the camera right-left or up-down to shoot giant panoramas up to 360°. When you view the panorama back on your camera or personal computer, you can enjoy a seamless panorama image with both ends stitched together to create a cylindrical view.

Includes: strap, lens cap and USB cable
