Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very easy to hold - the body is nicely shaped.
The viewfinder is exceptional - size and clarity of the image makes you forget you're looking at an EVF instead of an optical. Viewfinder image is larger than other APS C DSLRs. Highly informative and also customisable. Info changes orientation when in portrait format.
The physical dials soon become very intuitive and it's easy to see what the camera is set at, without switching it on and looking at a screen.
Superb image quality with the added tweak of some Fuji film simulations, giving your pictures that little extra.
Very fast focus and very quiet operation.
Retro styling looks great - it really does look like a "real" camera from back in the day
Battery compatibility across other models - they all use the same battery
Bad points:
Common to all mirror less cameras is the limited battery life. Multiple spares are essential. Luckily even FujiFilm OEM batteries aren't as exorbitantly priced as some other manufacturers.
If you shoot RAW or/and high resolution JPG, the wireless file transfer software is rather slow - about 10 mins for 2 GB.
No USB cable provided, although transfer via cable is an option.

Good points:
Great Camera, retro look and feel, great weatherproofing, my first CSC so adjusting from a DSLR. Intend to use for travel.
Bad points:
Came with vertical grip as part of the kit. Ecxellent to use with it on but adds to the size so not sure of its true value.

Manufacturer's Description

The 16.3 megapixel Fujifilm X-T1 is a compact premium interchangeable lens camera. It features a newly developed real time electronic viewfinder, superb X-series build quality with mechanical dials and weather-resistance (when paired with a weather resistant X mount lens), an advanced X Trans II Sensor and EXR II Processor that delivers an incredibly fast AF speed of 0.08 sec.

Multi Mode Viewfinder
The world’s highest viewfinder magnification ratio of 0.77x
With its high-resolution 2.36million dot OLED display, and the world’s highest magnification ratio of 0.77x (Approx. 0.77x magnification with a 50mm lens set to infinity and -1.0m) the FUJIFILM X-T1’s Real Time Viewfinder allows a true connection to your subject and a purely immersive shooting experience, achieving a wide angle of view of 31°.

The world’s fastest display
The display’s lag time of just 0.005 seconds means you’ll immediately see any changes to your composition, keeping you in touch with whatever you’re shooting.

Advanced X Trans II Sensor and EXR II Processor
The world’s fastest AF speed of 0.08 sec is achieved via the integration of phase detection pixels into the advanced sensor.

Due to the X-Trans CMOS II sensor architecture that eliminates the need for an optical low-pass filter (OLPF) and integrates FUJFILM’s originally developed colour filter array, the FUJIFILM X-T1 reproduces scenes with resolution and clarity rivaling a larger sensor.

EXR Processor II
The adoption of the dual CPU and improved performance has doubled the processing speed when compared with the previous generation processor, the start-up time has also improved to only approx. 0.5 sec. Working in tandem with the high-speed signal readout of the X-Trans CMOS II sensor, the processor reduces the shooting interval to 0.5 sec.4 and shutter time lag to 0.05 sec.

Intelligent Hybrid Auto Focus
Whether you need high-speed response from the on-sensor phase detection AF, or accurate focusing in dark scenes that only contrast AF can deliver, the FUJIFILM X-T1’s Intelligent Hybrid AF automatically switches to the optimal focusing system for the scene and conditions. A newly developed algorithm improves AF accuracy when shooting low-contrast subjects and dark scenes. The evolved AF system of the FUJIFILM X-T1 brings your subject into sharp focus so quickly that priceless moments will never escape your lens.

Predictive AF and AF tracking High-speed 8.0 fps continuous shooting
Faster response means more confidence in capturing the moment, and the FUJIFILM X-T1 delivers it. Using phase-detection autofocus, combined with high-speed subject predictive, the AF accurately follows your subject through the frame, even at the highest continuous shooting speed of 8.0 frames/sec.
ISO Sensitivity
In addition to the broad default sensitivity range of ISO200 – 6400, FUJIFILM X-T1 gives you a choice of expanded ISO sensitivity settings of ISO100, 12800, 25600 and 51200. Also when shooting under dynamic lighting conditions, you can use AUTO ISO and set a ceiling sensitivity between ISO400 and 6400.
Flash Photography
The FUJIFILM X-T1 comes with a hot-shoe mounted accessory flashgun and features Fujifilm’s original Super Intelligent Flash system — the high-precision TTL flash control technology that automatically supplies just the right amount of flash according to the lighting conditions of your chosen scene. It’s ideal for shooting small items, special occasions indoors or other low-light subjects.

Tough, weather-resistant design
The weather resistant structure is sealed in approximately 80 places and is both dust and water resistant. Additionally it is designed to cope in temperatures as low as -10°C allowing field photography without the typical worries about the weather, season or general shooting environment.

The body made from die-cast magnesium, the FUJIFILM X-T1’s chassis is not only sturdy and durable, but also compact and lightweight. The exposure compensation, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity dials are all precision milled from aluminium and deliver a reassuring click at every notched setting, while reinforced glass is used for added protection of the LCD screen.

3.0-inch, 1.04 million-dot high-resolution LCD Monitor with a tilting screen.
The FUJIFILM X-T1’s big, bright LCD screen is clear to see under all conditions whether you’re inside or out, thanks to its improved refresh rate. Composing and reviewing images has never been easier, while in tough shooting conditions, the reinforced glass screen enhances durability.

Easy-to-find controls
With the Diopter adjustment control to the left of the viewfinder, and the Viewfinder Mode switch on the right, you can completely immerse yourself in composing the shot by never taking your eye off the subject.

Enhanced wireless functions
With the new dedicated “FUJIFILM Camera Remote” application, you can focus and trigger the camera release from your smartphone or tablet. The app not only lets you adjust focus, but also control settings like shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation and ISO sensitivity. You can even apply other settings like Film Simulation, self-timer, and flash while “Touch AF” lets you focus from your phone or tablet, too. Imagine all the situations where this smart assistant will come in handy! Take commemorative group photos with yourself in the shot, capture wildlife photos, or remotely release the shutter for night shots free from camera shake. The photographic possibilities are endless.
For easy wireless transfer of photos to your smartphone or tablet just download the free dedicated “FUJIFILM Camera Remote” application to your device. There’s no need to enter an ID, password or to change other troublesome settings; with just a touch of a button, you can transfer your high-quality images to your phone or tablet ready to upload to your blog or social networking site.

Full HD Movie mode
Full HD Movie (1920×1080) mode offers not only the standard 30 fps but also 60 fps. You can also take advantage of Monochrome and the classic colour effects of other Film Simulation modes, putting your own signature on every clip you shoot. Add the exceptional brightness of an X mount lens and the FUJIFILM X-T1’s large sensor and you’ll be shooting movies with professional-looking, shallow depth-of-field effects. Connect the external MIC-ST1 stereo microphone (sold separately) to record high-quality audio and add depth to your movies.

Film Simulation
With Film Simulation, you can choose from classic Fujifilm photo styles, and give your pictures varied colour and tone to suit the subject, just like pros did with film. There’s standard PROVIA, vivid Velvia, and ASTIA with its true-to-life skin tones; PRO Neg.Std and PRO Neg.Hi, which are portrait modes based on professional colour negative film; and Monochrome expression with three different filter effects as well as Sepia.
