Good points:
In the auto mode it is easy to use. It has some very good features, seems robust, and is excellent value for money. I like the viewfinder feature, rather than hold the camera at arms length. The image quality is satisfactory
Bad points:
I was disappointed to find that the panoramic feature does not work on zoom.

Nice size, not too chunky, lot of features (although admittedly still not sure how to use them all)
Bad points:
Fo the same price you can get an equally good, if not better, compact camera. Just won't look as cool!

Good points:
Excellent quality and cost. Perfect step up from a compact digital camera before committing to a full blown slr.

Bad points:
The only bad thing is that the full instructions are on the cd so it's hard to refer to it when out and about.

Digital Cameras Buyers' Guide

Manufacturer's Description

An 18x Fujinon optical zoom provides the equivalent of a 28-504 mm lens on a full-frame digital camera, but at a fraction of the size and weight! The wide-angle end focal lengths will be popular with those shooting landscapes, street scenes and interiors, while extreme telephoto settings will get you closer to the action when shooting sports or wildlife. Experiment with intermediate zoom settings when shooting portraits, still life and travel photography.

With 14-megapixel you’ll not be left wanting more when it comes to resolution. The FinePix S2900 series produces JPEG files big enough to produce prints larger than A3, or allows creative cropping on your home PC without loosing quality. The Fujifilm CCD sensor captures the world around you in vivid color and stunning clarity.
