Good points:
My family purchased this camera for my Christmas present and I was so impressed I then bought the same camera for my wife and adult grandson. Once you familiarise yourself with this camera it is extremely simple to use and the results are first class. The camera feels solid when handling and my wife (who is not into gadgets) simply loves it.
When coupled with the Picasa 3 program on our laptops we have hours of fun and entertainment.
Bad points:
You have to be extremely careful when when changing either the battery of SD card which are housed in the same small compartment and the small yellow plastic retaining clip for the battery looks very delicate. We have all taken out extended warranties so should not be a real problem.

Good points:
Thas camera has fast image processing (from 3 to 12 images per sec depends on resolution). Long exposition time allows to make simply fantastic pictures, just use any tripod. And I really don't see noise on the pisc!
And - it has one of the biggest CCD size from compact cameras - 1/1.6", Canon S90 with the same CCD cost twice more.
Bad points:
A bit long batt charge time - about 2.5 hrs, it's good to have one more battery.
No HD video, but it's Photo camera, not camcorer, so it's acceptable.

Good points:
This is the highest quality pocketable camera on the market. Takes high quality shots in low light and mixed conditions. Your best bet short of an SLR, or until next gen p&s sensor.
Bad points:
No case, no HD video, limited zoom, very difficult to attach hand strap.
