Stephen, Surrey

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Looks good, solid build, nice size, comes will all the necessary cables.
Bad points:
The sound for me could be a little better - but then I am comparing it to a very good home system. I have small Diamond Wharfdale speakers attached - okay but will look to upgrade these. The sound is better played through some older spendor speakers. The remote is a little out of sync in quality and look and feel of the amp itself - Solid enough but it would be great if it had the IPOD screen relayed on the remote itself.

ian , stirlingshire vinyl rules

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Clarity, depth, strong extended bass, no evident distortion near to max volume, a good solid sound that fills a room at low volume, and is still sweet to listen to at high volume: the true test of a good amp. Stereo imaging bang on too, 1st time listening to a valve amp, Bryson amps in my own system, for the money though, i'd say it's hard to beat, styling and finish are top quality, it's compact enough for a book shelf, what can i say: it just works, and then some.
Bad points:
It's picky but i find the warmth of the valve sound a little fuzzy.

Confirmed purchase: 05 Dec 2008

Stephen, Derbyshire

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
This is unlike any other iPod/iPhone dock. I am not an expert audiophile and don't really understand terms like "treble balance ", " high end " etc etc but I do know that when playing music from my iPhone this baby sounds incredible. It sounds crystal clear and I can see what people mean by a warm sound. It was a straight fight between the B+W zeppelin and the fatman for my money and I'm glad I went with the fatman. It's connected to a pair of very old warfdale diamond speakers a dennon cd player and the audio out on my tv. All the above sound great playing through the fatman. The cherry on the top of this cake for me is the looks. Its proper eye candy! Great value, great product.
Bad points:
No headphone socket ! Not sure why this is . There's no point of reference to adjust the sound levels, ie it's all done from a +/- buttons on the remote with no indication of your starting point so it has to be adjusted by ear alone.
