Good points:
I did a fair amount of research on types and models of dehumidifier before settling on this one. The first day I got it, it caught about 7 litres of water from my one bed flat. It's not too loud. Or rather, on it's highest settings it's loud enough to be impressive - but like a really big desk or room fan so it's the kind of noise I quickly get used to and that blends into the background after a while. On lower/normal settings its just like a regular fan noise. I've run it in the bedroom and it's no problem to sleep at at night. Compared to my last one (a refrigerant with a similar rating) which banged and rattled constantly, this one is fantastic and catching far more water much more quietly. I've already recommended it to friends. I still haven't worked out how the auto humidity levels work... it seems to just do its own thing whatever the setting, but it does it well. I kept an eye on my electricity meter and it doesn't seem to be using much while running on maximum. The flat feels warmer than it used to - especially in the mornings - which is a really good sign that the moisture problem here is getting under control. It's not a bad looking unit, seems pretty well built, and doesn't look out of place. I reckon it's a good choice.
Bad points:
The water tank could be better designed. Because it's long and thin, the water tends to slosh around when you empty it and it's not the easiest to get in and out of the unit without the odd small spill. But hey - I only have to do that when it's full, and every time it's full I have a few less litres of damp to worry about. It's not a deal breaker. The placement of the handle makes it hard to carry and keep upright so you might want to move it around when the tank isn't full. If you do, it just switches off and waits for you to empty it.

David, Taunton

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Once comfort level has been set, it keeps the humidity at that level. Great in my photographic studio to protect my valuable electronics and keep backdrops dry. I have it connected to a drain tube, for continuous running. I have a second one for use in the house for drying washing too; works very well and cheaper than a tumble dryer to run.
Bad points:
One has been returned within 2 year guarantee with a knocking noise, hope it will be back soon.
