Good points:
Easy to use and not too heavy to handle. Looks modern with a brushed st/st finish, so it doesn't show too many finger prints/marks, unlike a chrome finish. Powerful motor which pulverises soups in double quick time. Makes fruit smoothies easily and pulverises fresh fruit for cakes mixes well. I haven't used the whisk yet, because I already own a hand whisk and also a Magimix food processor, so it would have been more convenient for me to have bought a stick blender without any of the accompanying attachments. But unfortunately Dualit had stopped supplying it without the "box of tricks" prior to my purchase. So I now have even more utensils cluttering up my kitchen drawers! Perhaps they could bring back the stick/hand blender without attachments if enough prospective buyers requested it? I think that it is good value for money and Dualit is a reliable name. Also the cheaper models on the market are mainly made of plastic, which isn't a good choice, when immersed into hot substances. Hot and plastic doesn't mix, as plastic can give off cancer / toxic properties when heated.
Bad points:
As above.
Don't submerse the detachable blade / stick fully into the washing up water. Just wash the steel part of the stick , keeping the top part which slots into the motor out of the water, as this will fill with water. It can't be fully dried out, so could cause problems at a later date.
The instructions do inform you of this, but some people don't always read the instructions.
The same principle would apply with any other stick blender.
