Good points:
Simple to set up, fast enough to stream video, power saving measures, secure.
Bad points:
It's a minor point but why print security codes on rear? By the time you realise you need them they are plugged in! White case not to my taste.

Julie, Penrith

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
It works extremely well
Once up and running, it needs no further input and does what it is supposed to do
Extends connection without wires through thick walls in a large house
Bad points:
It is necessary to switch from one broadband connection to the extended network depending on where you are located in the house - not a huge problem but not as seam-free as I had thought

The instructions use language that only someone with quite a bit of computer expertise would understand. A simple summary is necessary. Most of the functionality will be unnecessary to the average user and the device can be set up without reference to the instructions. When first attempting set up, though, the instructions are very off-putting and intimidating

It is stupidly expensive.

Carole, Brentwood

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Able now to access I player on my TV even though my router is on a different floor, very simple to set up. Just one plug in a socket in the computer room with ethernet lead from plug to router, the second in a socket near the TV in the sitting room with ethernet lead from plug to TV. Make sure TV switched off when setting up and hey presto all set up!

Manufacturer's Description

With the dLAN 200 AVeasy, devolo is pioneering the world market as the first manufacturer to develop a HomePlug-AV adapter, which encrypts data at the push of a button. Setting up a dLAN network has never been easier than with the Encryption Button, which is installed underneath the dLAN 200 AVeasy. By simply pushing this button, maximum data security is immediately established between the adapters. The user benefits greatly from this as neither PC nor software are required for set-up. To install the adapter, you only need to plug in the adapters and push the encryption buttons once. Your network is immediately secure. As before, dLAN 200 AVeasy can also be set up via the software provided.
