In cross racing more and more riders are discovering the power and modulation benefits of disc brakes. But the Cross Race Disc won’t just prove its worth on the cyclocross track, it will also do great as a multi conditions trainer or even in the demanding environment of daily city riding.
No shortcuts! The Cross Race Disc features a very precise double butted Superlite Advanced 6061 aluminium frame, with a tapered head tube and cold forged 3D dropouts. This makes the Cross Race Disc perfectly suited for out of the saddle sprinting efforts or long distance grinding. To maintain a high level of compliance for rough terrain we specified a 27.2mm seat post and a vibration damping carbon fork with a tapered alloy steerer. Our Ready For Race Geometry is specifically tuned for cross racing, providing a sporty, balanced riding position and a nimble ride. The semi-integrated cable routing helps in portage sections and creates a clean look.
The Cross Race Disc features the cross specific Shimano BR-R517 mechanical disc brakes, which will slow you confidently even in the worst mud. We believe in the control benefits of additional bar top brake levers for cyclocross and that’s what you’ll find on this bike. The Shimano 105 drivetrain has grown to 11 speeds for 2015 – paired with a 46/36 crank set it’s sure to receive high praise from performance riders. Another highlight are the Fulcrum Racing 77 CX wheels, which keep the bike ride razor sharp while others are struggling for control. The lightweight and stiff CUBE Cross Race Disc carbon fork further adds to the ride precision.
