Q Acoustics 2000i cinema 5.1:
Back in 2006 Q Acoustics shook the Home Cinema world with the introduction of its 1000 series, which offered performance way beyond the norm for its price-point. Since then, the company has simply refined that ground-breaking product, making it better and better, to the point where it has just launched its latest version named the 2000i, which is undoubtedly the very best to date. All the highly praised features from the previous series are there, including beautifully-made compact cabinets, plus clever wall brackets and dedicated stands, but the 2000i’s drivers are totally different from anything seen before, yielding a significant jump in performance. The bass driver now features carbon fibre and ceramic in its construction, whilst the tweeter is now acoustically isolated from the front baffle via a decoupling ring, for improved clarity. Bearing in mind that its price is almost identical to that of the outgoing model, this offers consumers outstanding value for money. Not surprising then that the 2000i has just walked off with this year’s highly prestigious What Hi-Fi award!
