Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Easy to use as portable hard disc and plays video. Has Line in and out and record facilities.
Bad points:
Requires separate plug to attach to the bottom of the player which is awkward and there is a removable cover for this socket which is too easy to loose.

Score 1.0/10
Good points:
Design is ok. Selecting tracks is a bit tricky.
Bad points:
The worst thing about this unit is that it will not play in track order so you will never be able to hear your albums in the order they were intended to be played. If this is important to you then DON’T buy it.

Nick, Bushey

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
I bought this to replace an iRiver H340, and the sound is comparable. The best MP3 player manufacturers are Cowon, iRiver and Creative, without a doubt. This iAudio is easier to operate and a sturdier build than its competitors as well.
Bad points:
The tone controls are overly complex. I went through a couple of weeks of thinking I'd bought an inferior product until I got to grips with them. Do we really need three different bass boost controls? Once mastered however, very sweet sounds emanate. Colour screen not as good as the iRiver, but not really an issue for me.

Russell, Lyon, France

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Supports many different codecs including FLAC and Ogg. Sound quality is excellent. Robust and handsome metal casing. Many interesting features - radio, voice record, real-time mp3 record from exterior unit, direct plug-in to other devices (camera, etc.). Textfiles and video support is helpful and adequate. The software provided works like a dream. Capacity is pretty vast.
Bad points:
Controls are a little awkward - easy to confuse volume with previous/next track, any volume adjustment involves battery loss through screen life, and a switch on side of device is a little tricky in the hand. Lack of a long-life battery version on the 60GB model is a definite minus. I seem to spend all my time looking to charge, a hassle when on the road. The battery is built-in and when it expires the whole device will have to be mailed away. The procedure for doing so is nowhere explained, it seems to me. Plus I am a long way from my backup and there is no guarantee the data will not be wiped. The serial number rubs off the back of the casing in no time so make an immediate record on purchase. The book (both paper and acrobat versions of the manual) leaves rather too much to be discovered alone by the less techno-gifted user. Talking to Koreans (!) the price seems inflated in the west (on a par with the ipod) when compared to the original domestic market - though to be fair it seems it is the west that has demanded a 60GB version. At least one of the .wmv types failed to work on the device and because I omitted to note which (through pressures of time) I ended up not using that codec at all.
