Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Very fast alone. Put 2 of these in raid-0 and it's scary quick now. This is one of the best SSD's money can buy. OS and programme boot times have been slashed by 90%. If you've got a decent laptop, replace the hard ddrive with one of these and you'll be shocked at the performance difference.
Bad points:
You can buy 128GB SSD's for less than half the price which have similar performance. In other words, buying higher capacity should be cheaper per gigabyte.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Currently this is plugged into an old socket LGA775 motherboard and it has breathed new life into the system, it is so quick, even though it is basically running at half speed sata 2 on what is now very old technology. Can't wait to plug it into my new Asus Maximus VI Formula board, once I have gathered the last few bits to complete the build and see exactly what this drive can do.

As an example, running a full system scan using Norton 360 on this drive is completed in seconds, where it used to take about 20 minutes on my old 500Gb Seagate boot drive.
Bad points:
The Corsair SSD Toolbox software is rubbish, although maybe I am being unfair as the drive is plugged into an old motherboard. However, one of the reasons that I purchased the drive is because it came with a utility to image my old HDD drive onto the SSD, saving having to re-install the Windows 7 OS, and all my apps and settings. Unfortunately, when I downloaded the Corsair SSD toolbox and went into disc clone section, I was greeted with a message saying that it was still under construction - coming soon, so ended up having to re-install everything manually anyway. Perhaps they may have finished it by the time anyone has read this review.

Also, the firmware updater doesn't seem to work, although that maybe because of the old motherboard and I will have to wait until I have completed my new build before I can confirm that. When I tried on the LGA775, it corrupted the MBR and as a result the drive was not recognised in the BIOS. Luckily, the Windows 7 recovery disc did it's magic and I was able to recover from the error, otherwise I would have been looking at another software re-install.

Alex, Bury St. Edmunds Heavy media user

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
After a lot of research, the Neutron series SSD appeared to offer the best balance of performance overall. The LAMD controller being derived from enterprise-class tech, not relying on compression for 'fast' writes and maintaining performance over time swung it for me over Samsung. No firmware updates required since launch of this line also tells a lot, they got it right before release. Time will tell but so far so good, out-performs the Crucial M4 I have in the same machine.
Bad points:
None so far. It is more costly than competitors but only by a few pounds.
