Fred, North Wales Casual computer user

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Very fast even when used on a SATA II interface. When running the windows 7 rating it now shows 7.6 my previouos hybrid drive 7200rpm with 2Gb of SSD previously rated as 5.4. Windows loads in 30 seconds and games seem to run smoother.
Bad points:
Cost is the only issue as you do not get a lot of storage for your money. But this should be resolved as they become more common in systems and prices drop as capacity increases.

Manufacturer's Description

Superior storage performance without tradeoffs

Neutron Series SSDs give you consistently fast storage speed, no matter what kind of work you do with your PC. The advanced LAMD SATA 3 SSD controller provides both high IOPS and super-fast sequential read speeds for reliably fast results.
Serious real-world performance

Neutron Series delivers strong overall storage performance without tradeoffs. The professional-grade LAMD SSD controller delivers both super-high IOPs – important for data-intensive tasks like video and image editing – as well as superior sequential read speeds for lighting fast file access It’s performance that goes beyond benchmark scores, and speed you can count on no matter what type of work you do on your PC.
Incredible sequential read speeds, regardless of file type

Many SSDs achieve quick load times with files that can be compressed and decompressed at the read/write stage, but slow down significantly reading data that’s already compressed. Neutron goes one better by offering impressive performance even with compressed and non-compressible data. You’ll get super-fast loads even with large audio files, images and videos.

Broad PC and notebook compatibility

Neutron Series SSDs follow the universal 2.5” standard, and easily mount in desktop PCs with 2.5” drive bays. Or, mount it in a hard drive bay using the included 3.5” adapter.

The 7mm form factor fits both standard notebooks as well as the latest generation of slim notebook designs. If you’re considering upgrading your notebook to something slimmer, your Neutron can move with it.
