Bad points:
The mode dial needs to be checked every time you take it out of it's case as it moves around very easily. This can be very annoying if you are trying to retrieve it and shoot in a hurry

Good points:
I reviewed a number of large optical zoom compact cameras before chosing this particular one. its features matched my requirements very well, and in partcular the internal optical zoom mechanism makes it more rugged. A real bonus was the zoom operates silently in movie mode and the the video light works remarkably well too.

David, Ruislip

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Good handling. The optical zoom is not upto digi SLR standards but produces clear images without having to enhance the image with photoshop. Has lots of good features, like taking pictures of moving subjects (water, from a moving car), also like the soft flash which prevents white wash and keeps some of the natural light.
It supports high density memory so with an 8GB SD I get over 3000 images or 1hr 30mons of video footage.
Bad points:
Can't think of any bad points. This camera is all I'm looking for, as I wanted a single camera with good optical zoom, high resolution and continuous video as I decided I didn't want to carry around a DSLR, Compact digi and video camera.

Anti-shake really works especially when using the 7x zoom. The video mode is near TV quality with stereo sound.
Bad points:
Only one so far - the anti-shake system does not work in video mode.
