Good points:
Great All-In-One Still & Movie Camera. Widescreen video recorded in H.264, so it fits a lot more on a memory card than most cameras that record movies do! It also records audio in stereo! 7x optical zoom with no protruding lens is silent, and also works whilst recording video; including image stabilisation. Good quality view screen that has good performance in direct sunlight. Lots of "scene" modes to allow good quality shots and movies even if you don't know how to setup a camera for differing conditions. Clear and concise menus that offer either effective and simple, or very comprehensive camera setup. Nice autofocus modes that can allow automated tracking of moving objects and also work throughout movie recording and zooming.
Bad points:
Flash range is limited, though the camera is easy to setup for a dark scene using no flash. Image stabilisation seems to judder sometimes when recording movies, particularly when at full zoom. Autofocus can get lost at times. Positioning of the zoom slider is odd, though it does seem to work well and the zoom speed is related to the pressure you apply, which is nice. The lens is offset to the corner of the camera, and it is very easy to get your fingers in the shot. The wrist strap that comes with the camera is far too short to be of much use.

Good points:
The x7 zoom is a good feature for the size.
Bad points:
The controls are small and fiddly. But worst of all the quality of the pictures is terrible compared to previous Casios I've had - I wish I'd never "upgraded". The flash does not work well indoors and the number of blurred and out of focus images is staggering. Stick with the other simpler versions which work very well.
