Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Quick, high quality and easy to use (I don't use the bundled software but use it via VueScan).
Bad points:
Poor printed leaflet and the user manual is hidden on the CD and isn't the easiest to find your way around. Use the search facility.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Purchased primarily for scanning 35mm slides. The quality of the results is very good considering the price of this scanner. I downloaded drivers for Windows 10 rather than use the setup disc and the scanner was up and running in a matter of minutes. Once set up, it is easy to drop in slides and scan 4 at a time. Overall I am very pleased with this product.
Bad points:
Nothing considering the price.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Excellent sharp images from this scanner and moderately fast. Flexible options on final scans in supplied software.
Bad points:
The omission of Silverfast is substituted by Canon's Gateway software which is more complicated and requires learning all over again and is not as versatile as Silverfast. Build quality of the casing etc is good but the snap-in white cover is flimsy and if not handled very, very, carefully will break while a replacement will cost around £25. So be very careful when removing or inserting the cover.
