Faith, Warrington Frequent ironer

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very nifty steam iron, heats up quickly, produces a lot of steam and is quieter than my old iron.
It looks good, works well and is good value for the money.
Bad points:
The downside to all that steam is having to refill the tank more often depending on how much you use the extra shot of steam.

A, Bedford Occasional ironer

Score 5.0/10
Good points:
Irons nicely with controls readily to hand.
Bad points:
Poor design. It is almost impossible to tell how much water is in the tank because it is made of almost opaque plastic.

If you overfill the tank (very easy to do) then the sensor in the handle stops working untill the iron is emptied and allowed to dry out.

Manufacturer's Description

Automatically selects the right setting. The Bosch TDA7060GB comes with intelligent and useful i-Temp technology. Instead of fiddling about to find the right temperature for your jeans and then again for work shirts, you only need one setting for whatever you’re ironing. That means no more burn marks and with sensor secure, when you put the iron down it automatically shuts off and quickly heats up again when you pick it up. There’s also a precision tip for working into corners, collars and cuffs. Plus, thanks to the CeraniumGlissée easy-glide base with enamel finish, you’ll never leave shiny patches on dark clothes either.
