Good points:
I love this new dishwasher. It cleans great and the drawer for the cutlery is much better than a basket. I found food used to stick in the basket. It is also easier to unload the cutlery.

The drawers are more useful because you can adjust them to hold what you want, drop plate separators etc.

The eco silence is exactly what it says. Our kitchen is open plan and we do not hear this dishwasher at all. I don't know how it is even possible. To start with we were going over to make sure it was still on. Great purchase.
Bad points:
Nothing we don't like.

The cutlery tray is a good idea - keeps the cutlery separate and frees up more room in the other baskets.

Good points:
Wasn't sure about the cutlery drawer when we ordered, but love it, - it works really well and leaves more space below.
Bottom rack really works well and takes loads. Top rack a bit fussy, - we don't have wine glasses, and some of the space is not ideal for mugs. But it's OK.
Only used quick wash so far as we rinse things first, - it takes only 29 minutes and does the job. We have changed from tablets to powder and rinse aid, as we thought the tablets might be too strong for a short wash.
Machine looks nice and gives an impression of being well made.
It is very quiet, and display, (once you've changed the language!), is clear and helpful.
Bad points:
Instructions for changing settings were not correct for my machine. You need to change the display language from German to English. In the manual, it says press programme and start buttons until digital display 3 H0 is shown. This is wrong, as the 'H' setting refers to the water hardness, and the machine was factory set to 4. The instructions should say press the programme and start buttons, and the display WILL show 3 H4. From that point on, the instructions are OK.
Machine has an electronic valve connection to water supply and instructions say that the plug must be left switched on for this to function. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.

Good points:
It's fantastically quiet. The range of cycles (hygiene for baby bottles, extra dry if you're dish washing plastic things, Eco cycle) is great. The interior is well designed and has masses of room. The whole appliance looks very neat and modern. It's the best dish washer I've ever had.
Bad points:
Now and again things come out slightly dirty and/or wet, but if there's a dishwasher out there where this doesn't happen occasionally I have yet to hear of it. The cutlery tray at the top of the machine can be fiddly to load.

Dishwasher Buyers Guide

Manufacturer's Description

With an A+ energy rating and two A ratings for washing and drying, the Bosch SMS69L32GB dishwasher will be welcomed into any home.

This Bosch appliance runs almost silently at just 38dB and features a time delay so you can set if off after midnight to take advantage of lower energy costs. And when running at night, the integration of Aquastop technology gives you extra peace of mind, automatically cutting off the water supply if leakage or flooding occurs.

Precision engineering has resulted in a ServoLock door on this unit, which allows the door to close virtually by itself and with minimum effort on your part. A child lock protects from scalding.
Thanks to the ActiveWater hydraulic water system, this dishwasher uses just 9.5 litres of water per wash, and every single drop is used to the maximum. The SMS69L32GB has 6 programmes including 3 automatic – auto 65-75°C, auto 45-65°C, auto 35-45°C and 4 special options including intensive zone, extra dry, hygiene plus and Variospeed plus.

The upper basket is height-adjustable, even when fully loaded, and the SMS69L32GB features a removable VarioflexPlus basket as a more flexible alternative to a cutlery basket, allowing you to effortlessly unload cutlery. With 3 different loading heights, and 12 foldable racks and shelves throughout the machine, a large variety of dishes can easily be accommodated. This appliance also features a glass protection system for perfectly clean glasses. A TFT text display and LED salt and rinse aid refil indicators keep you updated at all times.
