Split ovens and grill, duel fuel.

The plates on the gas burners are light and come off easily when you cleaning.

Paul, Felixstowe Family cook

Score 6.0/10
Good points:
It's a range cooker! It's big! It fits in the space! It is impressive to first viewers!
The two ovens are good, giving flexibility at family event times. First time on a gas hob and the instantaneous heat change is a wonder.
Spills are contained easily.
I can learn to live with the drawbacks, though - I enjoy cooking on the beast, in spite of the criticisms.
Bad points:
The markings are under the knobs, making temperatures for the ovens very difficult to see. Not only that, it is not clear whether the temperature is to be taken on the blob to the right or the left of the numerals.
The choice of size of gas rings is not as flexible as was hoped for. The wok ring is usable only once in a while and most cooking is carried out on the two medium rings. The large ring is too big for most pans and the smallest ring is good for heating beans. This means more faffing than I was expecting with gas.
I am surprised at the lack of flexibility for simmering; it should be a function of size of pan and what is contained in the pan. There is, however, a one size fits all policy - great if all the variables match and comforting to be able to hit the knob to the lowest point. If you have several pans on the go you can get in to trouble. There is also less flexibility than electric - you have tiny , a bit more and whoa! This is a surprise, gas having the reputation of being infinitely flexible.
Cleaning spills, inevitable given the inflexibility, is tricky given the number of protruding screws and depth of the tray.
The size of the tall oven means not all my baking trays fit in.

Black finish on stove top scratches easily and once scratched looks poor. There are lots of nooks and crannies on the stove top making it hard to clean correctly.
