grill door doesn't drop completely flat, so it makes it difficult to slide out grill plate, also handle for grill does not hold very securely.
metal covers over burners easily move and pans dont seem to sit safely on top very disappointing.

Linda, York Family cook

Score 5.0/10
Good points:
Cheap
Bad points:
When you turn the dial to switch a burner gas on the hob on you have to hold it for 20 seconds otherwise if you take your hand away the gas supply cuts off. The oven is too small, all my roasting dishes are too big so I have to buy more, Again, you have to hold the dial in for at least 20 seconds. Feels 'tinny' not very robust. I make loads of jam and I'm not very confident that the hob will take my jam pan without it tipping over.

Ovens and Cookers Buying Guide

Manufacturer's Description

In its simple white finish, the Beko DVG592WP gas cooker has a real traditional feel, and the simple to operate dials for both the hob and the two ovens mean that anyone can be cooking like a pro in next to no time.

The hob is gas, which of course provides you with instantly controllable heat, so you can take your cooking from a boil to a simmer with the twist of a dial. The pan supports are enamel, and so super easy to keep clean and sparkly, which leaves more time for concocting amazing dishes, and then savouring every last bite.

The top cavity houses the fixed grill, and can also be used to cook conventionally. It is coated with easy clean liners, (as is the main oven) and so it shouldn’t take hours to scrub it clean.

The main oven is conventional, which allows you to cook a variety of dishes on the three different levels. As the heat is circulated naturally, the hottest part of the oven is at the top, with the temperature reducing at lower levels. This type of cooking environment is ideal for creating delicious Sunday roasts, and with the mechanical minute minder, you’ll never burn the roast potatoes or roast beef again!

To make cleaning that extra bit easier, the inner glass on the oven door is removable, and so you can take it out, wash it and replace it with no trouble.
