Good points:
Nice monitor and nice picture, and No Dead Pixels.
Apart from a minute amount of light bleed that I expected from these TN panels, it is fantastic.
Up to now I like it very much, and would recommend this panel.
Bad points:
No 3D Vision 2 - Glasses included.
Small amount of light bleed.

Good points:
I have had the monitor now for long enough to have used it for normal home browsing and work and also gaming with a 660ti and games like Crysis 3.

Pairing this screen with a Nvidia 2 kit is AWESOME, it gives games a whole new level of immersion. Its not virtual reality but its really good, the affect.

Differents view modes, like gaming, night view, standard.
Excelent 27" 3D gaming experience.
Bad points:

I guess cost, its not cheap but it is a high end 3d gaming monitor that obviously a lot of talented people have put a lot of care into, it has great design and apperiance.

Obviously the only one thing I could say which honestly you could not even worry about is, with black screens when the entire screen is black, there is what I think is called light bleed along the bottom but it is hardly noticeable and honestly I would overlook this give the strong points all around on the screen.

If the Dell u2711 was an Nvision 3D screen and available at £500 to £700 then that would be a next solution but i think this is one of the only monitors you can even consider today march 2013. If your reading this a long time after this review check what is out but today this is the baby to get.

Good points:
Refresh rate is great, going from 60hz to 144hz is worlds apart. If you have a rig that can deliver high frame rates then this is for you :-)
Bad points:
First was I had was doa. The image was corrupted. Asus customer service was next to useless but scan stepped up and replaced it in 4 days.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Sharp Images.
Vivid Colours.
Quick to update screen (low ms).
144Hz is sublime for gaming (super smooth frame rates with a high end gfx card).
Whilst the monitor is big, it isnt "in your face".
Bad points:
OSD controls are a little fiddly.
Apparently HDMI port only outputs at 60Hz.
As with all plastic monitors it is a little creaky when moving around.
You dont get 144Hz out of the box, it must be enabled first through your GFX cards control panel.
Small amount of backlight bleed visible but not enough to detract.

Good points:
I have now used this screen for well over a month so hopefully this review will be a fair, balanced and straight to the point. Previously I used a 42inch TV screen HDMI @ 60hz standard. Some may say downgrade whilst other say upgrade. I was initially thinking Mmmm a lot of money "just" for a monitor screen whilst I have a perfectly good working one at present. Since I use the pc purely for the usual bit and bobs but mainly gaming, Battlefield 3, Flight sim X and other various titles. All I can say so far is WOW. Even on the basic desktop, movements and just everything is incredibly smooth making it actually VERY soothing for the eye. I used to get quite a sore head on my TV after a while, where as now no dramas. I would say for in terms of FPS gaming it has massively helped my aim. 144hz on 2D is just mind blowing and also play 3D from time to time and that also is fantastic! So rather bullet pointing good points hopefully this paragraph of info can help potential future buyers!
Bad points:
Sounds a bit hmmm to some people to not leave any negative feedback.. Reason being, I am not really a picky person. This monitor does exactly what it says it should do and I cannot fault it really. So for the time being I have zero bad points to really say about it so far.. time will tell I guess.

Through the use of the world’s first NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ 2 glasses technology*, it instantly takes you into another dimension – transforming all your gaming experiences and movies to 3D. With its new technology, it delivers twice sharper 3D images than conventional 3D technology. There are more than five hundreds popular PC game titles* currently compatible with the NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ Kit.
With the latest NVIDIA® 3D LightBoost™ Technology, enjoy twice the brightness of conventional 3D technology in 3D mode with zero increase in total energy consumption. It’s perfect for dark-colour games such as Metro 2033 and Batman: Arkham City. Additionally, the redesigned glasses bundled with NVIDIA® 3D LightBoost™ Technology features a 20-percent larger viewing lens, a light blocking visor for comfortable viewing and more comfortable – gamer-inspired design.

Supported by Trace Free II Technology, the VG278HE is able to double per second to deliver ultra-smooth motion scenes in intense actions, which is over twice faster than generic LCD monitors, delivering ultra-smooth 2D visuals. Moreover, the response time is now reduced to 2ms to eliminate tracing and ensure crisp and clear video playback.

Splendid™ Video Intelligence Technology is built upon a colour engine that automatically analyses and determines the nature of the user’s current task, thereafter adjusting the display’s parameters accordingly to ensure the colour accuracy and image fidelity. Six pre-set video modes (Scenery, Theatre, Game, Night View, sRGB, and Standard) can be selected via a hotkey.

The VG278HE is specially designed with swivel, tilt and height adjustment to suit your preferred viewing angles in 3D gaming and movie watching.
