Al, Welwyn Garden City

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Very fast, quiet, cool.
Bad points:
Nothing that bad - just things to be aware - the card is Huge - both long and wide (triple slot). Make sure you have enough room. Also requires 2 x 8 pin PCIe sockets. Again check your PSU is up to the job! AMD's free games vouchers required a support ticket to redeem - didn't quite work as they said on the cards instructions.

Jai, Ipswich Gamer PC Builder

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
This is a very nice and powerful card, the cooling is top notch, easy to install, and comes with everything you need, even a DVI -> HDMI connector

Performance; it will handle what you throw at it. I said that if it came down in price that i would buy another.

The fans; are good with airflow, the noise they make is noticeable at about 80% but I've only ever seen it go this high when I've turned it up manually. Most of the time the card under load keeps the fans at about 30%, I have 2 of these in crossfire configuration, and again i cannot hear these on 30% above the ambient noise of my computer. These are louder then the Corsair H100i fans
Bad points:
Not exactly a bad point, but this is a very large 3 slot card, which will need quite a bit of space in the case and on the mobo so make sure you have enough space, i.e. Soundcard, crossfire configuration.

Manufacturer's Description

While it looks similar at first glance, the HD 7970 is actually a tiny bit shorter than the HD 7950 at 11 inches, compared to 11.8 inches of the latter. Make no mistake, it’s still gigantic and feels a bit heavier, too. The card uses the same Direct CU II cooler, where the heat pipes come in direct contact with the CPU core for better heat dissipation. The two large, low RPM fans move enough air, while staying whisper quite.
