Very fast boot up and dealing with multiple programs. Looks great. Not heavy considering it has an optical drive. Nice keyboard.

Good points:
We travel a lot so it has everything we need for use on the move; the battery life is just fantastic. Search out the one with the dual core processor (ACER OUTLET) it is superior and reasonably quick, although a little more money, built in CD/DVD re-writer which smaller net books don't have, it has a decent resolution webcam which I use a lot with Skype, all in all a very good portable and lightweight smaller laptop (1.9 Kg), Go for Windows 7, it is a little different to the latest version of Vista which I have on my home PC (which incidentally I liked better than XP) I get on very well with the keyboard, it seems to do the job very well, there is no numeric pad, but that’s no big moan, the screen is very reflective and is tricky to use outdoors in bright sunlight, but the definition of the Led backlit screen is just superb, fast 802.11n Wi-Fi works great, the multi card slot and the HDMI port was an essential on my shopping list, so I can play a DVD on any HDMI equipped TV. One of the first things I did was to remove a lot of the junk programmes it comes with and then added a-squared free anti virus, plus SUPERantispyware free.
I have no axe to grind and no connection with Acer, in fact I bet I don’t even get a thank you for this report, but I like my Acer 4810T, a lot.
Bad points:
Difficult to use in very bright sunlight, but I managed to use Skype while in Turkey recently, by sitting under a tree.
