Good points:
-Battery life is outstanding
-Excellent screen. Vibrant colours and form factor arguably better for viewing websites and documents than widescreen. The glass has a very smooth feel and fingers practically glide over it.
-Snappy performance in a wide range of tasks.
-Some excellent apps.
-Quality feel and solid build quality lacking from even some similarly priced alternatives.

Despite negatives listed below, I consider this to be a quality product and a joy to use. I sometimes find myself thinking the battery indicator is going down a little fast, only to realise I have merely lost track of time using it.
Bad points:
-This is actually a replacement for a defective unit. The original one had moderately bad backlight bleed. This one does have a little (in the same places so may be a weakness in the design) but is not visible under normal operating conditions and only slight in extreme conditions, so am satisfied with it. Others may be more perfectionist and still not be happy The first one also had a defective rear facing camera. Am fully aware that any product can be defective and do not regret persevering but there does seem to be reason to suspect the backlight bleeding is quite widespread.
-Screen res could be better. Looks a little pixelated up close but fine in general use.
-No Flash, though worth noting that many websites either offer an alternative or have an app (such as Youtube).
-Inferior specs in some areas. compared to competition.
-No SD slot and no real scope for expansion.
-I personally find the smooth surfaces make it a little harder to hold effectively (that smooth glass is a double edged sword I guess).
-iTunes. Not the most intuitive of programs and seems to be rather sluggish to sync at times, though files transfer quick enough. Use can be avoided to some extent as content can often be downloaded directly, though must be used for initial setup at least.
-iOS does seem a little basic and restrictive. It meets my needs quite well but worth being aware of.

Good points:
Faster, thinner and lighter than the first generation iPad; the dual core processor appears to install 'apps' from the App Store quicker than on my single core iPhone 4.

Front and rear facing cameras for FaceTime (over WiFi) make it ideal for talking to other iPhone 4/Mac/iPad 2 users without charge. Also adequate for HD 720 recording.

Decent battery life; charged it in full the first evening I got it and it's still got 30% left; appears to be less power hungry than my iPhone.

iOS 4.3 makes Safari better at web navigation; however there are some bad points (see below.)

The ability to watch HD 720 content from iTunes saves me booting up my PC.

Good, clear speaker (mono only, granted.) Almost no real need for an external audio dock it's that loud!
Bad points:
Significantly more than the WiFi only model.

When using Safari; some sites default to their 'mobile' version which can be annoying. Lack of Flash can be a nuisance; but it plays HTML5 videos OK.

I know it's not a compact camera/DSLR but a higher resolution for the rear facing stills camera would have been nice; given that other tablet devices have 3 megapixels for example.

The 30 pin connector feels a bit awkward when plugging in the USB cable; and installing the MicroSIM felt more difficult than it does on the iPhone, for example.

The lack of Retina Display (I appreciate it was unfeasible at time of design and production) was a slight disappointment; when you look the iPhone 4 for example; you notice the difference. I should point out text and graphics are still crisp though.

Good points:
Looks lovely, feels great in your hands, slickly responsive, great battery life, facetime app.
Bad points:
Lack of flash support means such basics as the Argos, Harley Davidson, and BBC Cbeebies websites don't work properly. I'm sure Apple fans will jump down my throat but let them explain to my 3 year old grand daughter why she can't play the Zingzillas game!
Won't play .avi files.
Dim ideology has crippled the best device I've seen for years.
