Carl, London/Woolwich

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
I'd just had a Laptop die on me, but was able to take out the HDD, put it in the enclosure and save all my files.

Simple to set up. Easy to use. Very handy piece of kit for Laptop users.
Bad points:
No mains plug. It uses a USB cable for power, where the end that fits into your PC has a dual connector and requires two USB ports to be connected and that doesn't include the USB needed to transfer files.

It takes up three ports in total, which some Laptops don't have or have spare and even though you can power it using only one of the USB power connections alone, it may disconnect or interrupt large file transfers and cause loss of data when you do.
