Good points:
Wide screen makes watching films a pleasure. Keyboard nice size and keys feel good - this is important to me as I am a fast typist. It was also easy to set up. Its lovely and fast to turn on and off, which is a real bonus after my pc, which is much slower. Mine came with Windows 7 which is easy to use.
Bad points:
It may not be Acer's fault, but I found the mouse pad hard to use, so have bought a mouse to use if I am copying and pasting documents. Also it would be good if there was an email key on the keyboard like Ihave on my main computer keyboard.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
I've bought a few Acer laptops and have always been happy with them. This one is no exception, performs as expected for the spec. I'm pleased to see that Acxer did not include all the games in their bundled software this time.
Bad points:
There's always the tedious task of removing the bundled software that you don't want and installing software that is mine.
It's about time the big name manufacturers supplied machines with free software instead of the trial stuff and imposed security products like McAfee. MS Security Essentials and Open Office to get any user started are just fine.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very capable laptop, looks good, performs well. Can process 2 threads per core at a time giving the effect of 4 cores. Touch pad supports gestures and has an area at the side to scroll up or down pages etc. Also a button next to the tough pad can turn it off so when typing you don't inadvertantly move the pointer or select things you dont want to.
I would recommend this laptop anyone providing they dont want to play the newest games on it.
Bad points:
Battery life quoted seems optimistic but then again I have been putting it through its paces. Still last a couple of hours when working hard.
