Good points:
Almost perfect HTPC, if you are not gaming on it. Low power, silent, USB3.0 for external HDD, handles HD streaming without problem. I'm mostly using it for two purposes: 1. playing HD files stored in a HP microserver, 2. Airplay receiver for my old speaker setup. It fits the two jobs perfectly. Obviously you can use it for downloading too, for which I'm using the HP microserver.
Bad points:
No official Windows 7 drivers

Amazing piece of hardware. Gave 10 star on everything simply because if you buy a system with free dos.. you mist know how to install your own. The rest it a bit of time but is all worth it.

Good points:
Nice and cheap unit which is small enough to go almost anywhere.
No software at all, in fact completely bare except for bios and free dos, which is useless.
Bad points:
Only Windows 8. Don't even think about windows 7. Nor Linux
So that puts the cost up and you are stuck with a nasty OS.

Good points:
Fantastic value - a good spec box for less money than the AMD one, yet brings more overall grunt. Uses little power and is silent. Looks good, too.
Bad points:
If you're planning to install something like ubuntu on it for desktop purposes, or use it as a media box running a linux distro, forget it - there is a problem with compatibility relating to the intel GFX chipset which means you have to disable it to get it to work, so it can't deal with any video decoding etc.

This is a headless linux box or a windows machine. If that suits your purpose, and you're willing to do some light config changes for linux installs, you're onto a winner.
