Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Fantastic value for such a high-end spec!
The CPU unit is very compact (about a third of the size of my old AT case), very quiet, very stylish, lot's of USB and other ports, and incredibly fast booting up (less than 30 secs for Windows 7).
The wireless keyboard and mouse work a treat, however, when I unpacked the keyboard I did think that it looked a tad on the cheap and flimsy side. I'm pleased to say that after 4 weeks of using the keyboard it's as good if not better than any Dell / HP / Compaq / IBM keyboard that I have used.
The monitor is of good size and everything looks so crisp 'n' clear with fantastic colours. I've yet to test it with a game... that might be a while as I'm not a gamer.... prefer databases and coding.
The software bundle is excellent if you are a home user, lots of games and Microsoft Works 9.... plus other stuff that I've not even looked at.
I've only had my X5900 for 4 weeks..... ask me for another review in a years time!
Bad points:
Very basic setup guide for the non-techie...... perhaps that's how people make money on their 0870 help lines????
The disc is partitioned 50 / 50. I'm ok with that but how many non-techie people would know that.
The CPU unit case is security sealed so if you want to install any PCI card or other gadget you run the risk of warrenty void. I wanted to install a wireless PCI card but had to rush out and buy a USB dongle.
The USB and other ports are at the base (at the front) of the CPU unit. This is ok if you have the unit on your desk top, but if it's on the floor then they are a tad awkward.
Perhaps a better printed user guide on all aspects wouldn't go amiss.

John, Loughborough Business user

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
The computer and monitor are very good looking products and the monitor is very clear and sharp. I like the compact design of the computer.
The computer is very fast in operation and the Windows 7 OS is fast to open and close.
Bad points:
The vertical CD drive is not as easy to use as a horizontal one and may not be very robust in use. The cover for the front-mounted USB slots helps to keep out dust but may be prone to accidental damage.
Set-up instructions were very brief and not specific to the computer model.
I had to purchase a new printer and webcam because of the lack of Windows 7 drivers. This is not your fault but an extra problem to the replacement of an older computer.
Microsoft Office basic Home and Student version should be included in software package and not the games.
