Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Very well put together laptop, good solid keyboard and nice to look at.. 17'' screen is great for web browsing and watching films. Good speakers for a laptop but they are not very loud, but you cant have everything..
If you want a quality laptop without losing an arm paying for it then this is the one. portability is reduced due to the size though so keep that in mind.
Bad points:
my version just has the pentium processor so its not the fastest but once you delete the mcafee internet suite it speeds it up no end. installed avast on mine and had no problems since..

Sandra, Faversham General home user

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Generally I am pleased with it and by trial and error am getting on better with windows 8.
It is much more up to date in all ways than my last laptop and quicker
Not too heavy to cart around
Battery not bad - need to drain it down fully to keep the battery working for a longer life for those who don't know keeping it fully charged all the time is not a good idea as I learnt with my last laptop
Bad points:
Difficult to get on with windows 8 at first
Rocker pad and mouse not in centre of keyboard
and likewise the keys are off centre
Need to keep cleaning it after most uses due to shinyness of outside - high gloss finish shows all marks
