Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Good graphics card, big HDD and RAM capacity. Even though it has a small processor (1.3) , it's not too slow and manages with some older games that I tried. Don't know how it would run any new games...

Good battery life - up to 8 hrs... I didn't test it but I don't think it's keeping that long
Bad points:
The screen is rubbish. It reflects everything like a mirror (unless you're sitting far from any strong light). This is the major reason I personally wouldn't recommend it. Other than that, it's a great laptop

It's a bit heavy and the bag I got in a deal with it is rubbish. If you're buying the laptop, don't use a deal, you'll get what you're paying for - bag is very uncomfortable to wear.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Unusual size, and good if you don't want a mini-version (because you work on it all day and it is your only computer), but you still don't want to break your back carrying it. Good battery life, though I am not sure the 8hrs as advertised are actually true.
Bad points:
has had a few slow moments and some program crashes already. not sure why. And also, the 'space' bar is suqeeking - very annoying for a new computer. Not sure if I can be bothered returning it for that though, coz overall it's a good computer. Oh - and the DVD drive seems very fragile, when you lift the laptop up. Not holding my breath on it surviving for too long.

William, Ashbourne Often on the move

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
A nice looking design with some handy features such as the touch pad switch, very handy when typing.
I would recommend the product for anybody that wants a portable laptop with a reasonable screen size.
Bad points:
The battery life is a bit misleading: When connected to the internet etc. the battery life is considerably shorter than advertised, obvious with hind-site.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
I am very pleased with my new aspire timeline 4810t from Acer. It is light laptop, it has a great battery life and performs the tasks I need to pretty fast and efficiently. It has a beautiful screen and plays really well HD videos. I am over the moon and would recomend it to all of my friends.
Bad points:
There are not many bad points about this laptop. The inbuilt camera could be better, producing a sharper HD image. Also it doesn't play Full HD1080p very well, but its a joy to watch 720p.

Manufacturer's Description

More than 8 hours battery life (All Day Computing), ultra-light weight and sophisticated design, all at the right price. This is the Aspire Timeline. With the Aspire Timeline series, Acer has taken a big, if not the biggest step forward in the concept of mobility, an area where finding the perfect equilibrium between light weight and autonomy has always been the number one priority. The Aspire Timeline series was conceived around the duration of the battery and introduces an entirely new way to render the system lighter, more efficient and less harmful to the environment. From now on you can turn on your Aspire Timeline in the morning and turn it off in the evening without ever having to charge it! Light as your time can be!
