Most helpful reviews

Richard, East Dulwich, London Often on the move

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Great price for a touch screen lap top. It looks great and the swivel screen design is clever.

Larger screen and five times the memor of the equivalent iPad!!
Bad points:
Touch screen is not always that responsive - but that might be how I set it up - too soon to say.

No CD/DVD drive - but SD slot, downloading from web, and USB devices largely overcome this.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Small size, great battery, seems good performance so far!
Bad points:
The (touch)screen makes the screen a little top heavy and unbalanced when using on a lap.
The glossy screen is not very good in direct light (it's by no means unique in this aspect).

Rodney, Marbella, Spain Business user

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
It is an exellent tool for a business person. you can have everything with you for meetings etc. I have an external hard drive with all my files, papres etc for use wherever I am. I use Skype for phone calls world-wide. I also have all my home videos, photo albums etc etc for use with family and friends. Not forgetting the music I carry around - the Sound system on thiemachine is awsome for its size. I would now be lost without it! The conversion to a tablet is really terrific! My friends and colleagues are full of admiration. AND, being a REAL computer - it knocks spots off the even more expensive Apple iPad!! My machine is the apple of MY eye!
Bad points:
Its not a bad point - but it has taken me time to work out how to load new programmes from discs to a USB dongle to the notebook - but it works Ok.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Competent small laptop, with tablet/touch features. Fairly light.
Bad points:
Hard drive only 160Gb - my fault for not reading the blurb, but I have upgraded to a 500Gb drive. The touch element is not that good, as I had read, but can be quite useful
