Good points:
It is big and fast. It is perfect for what I want which is a way to carry my life around with me. You need a ruck sack but provided you can live with that it is great.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
This laptop is a true desktop replacement in that it is powerful and has a large screen and keyboard. Before purchasing it I thought that it might be too big for a laptop but I now wonder how I managed with a smaller screen.
Bad points:
It's size is also its bad point. You would not want to carry a laptop of this size very far. I don't notice the weight but it is big and when it's in its bag you feel like you are carrying a suitcase rather that a laptop case. I would advise having this laptop as a desktop replacement plus a small laptop for travelling.

Score 2.0/10
Good points:
Has the option to upgrade to 16GB RAM, second battery
Bad points:
The laptop has 8 cores I upgraded to 16GB RAM, It is not any faster than my previous Dell or Toshiba laptop - 4 cores.
The machine is awfull, it is blue screened 4 times (only 6 months old).

I used the recovery software to reformat and reinstall the operating system. It fell over and would not reboot, had to buy a new hard drive and reinstall everything.

It has place for a second hard-drive. The hard-drive cover has plates that stick down into the machine. How do you install a second hard-drive with the plates - will not shut??

I contacted Acer support, got a link to the website. You don't get a personal reply to follow-up.
