Good points:
Running Mandriva 2010.0 on the laptop virtually everything works perfectly (all except finger print reader). Graphics, CPU & Memory are very good for the price.
Bad points:
The button which turns off touch pad is too easy to hit, and under Linux a reboot is necessary to restore touchpad, but the Windows Vista sticker applied over the button works perfectly.

Brian, Manchester General home user

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
It has a Blu-ray player along with the HDMI capabilities to plug straight into my TV and play HD movies with very little hassle.
It has the processing power and graphics capabilities to run my current favourite game (World of Warcraft) without any problems at all.
The preinstalled Acer software is easy to use and is very stable.
Bad points:
Battery life is not great, but for the screen size and performance, that's to be expected.
I bought and installed a copy of Windows 7 (upgrade from the preinstalled Vista x64) which appears to have a major sound issue.
It's so shiney it's hard to keep clean, but looks amazing when it is cleaned!
