Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Good performance - can easily manage the activities of an average user, I'm not sure the performance would be good enough for a gamer but if, like me, you don't really intend to use your laptop for that then this laptop would be ideal as it runs very smoothly, even when multitasking with many different windows.
Good value for money - because of the performance I have described above, I think that this laptop is possibly the best laptop available at the lower end of the price scale at this time. Of course you could spend more and would gain a better specification but I think that what you get for your money from this laptop is very good.
Bad points:
Size and weight - the laptop is quite heavy, its fine for carrying from one place to another but I probably wouldn't recommend it if you intend to have it on your person throughout entire days.
Battery life - The battery is fine for short periods of time, but I wouldn't rely on it for long periods, I would recommend working near to a power socket whenever possible just in case. Remember to remove the battery when using a power socket to prevent battery damage which will permanently reduce the maximum battery capacity.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
VG screen: viewing, size and clarity.
Sleek keyboard action.
Fast system speed.
Quite good selection of onboard trials: Office, Web Security etc.
Wireless connection excellent
Bad points:
No significant bad points - just a few minor ones:
Main instruction book can only be accessed on line. It would have been helpful to have a printed booklet to get started.
When opening the laptop, the screen hinges are quite stiff so that one hand has to be used to hold the base of the laptop down on the desk so that the 'lid' has to be lifted with just one hand. This encourages the user to put a thumb under the middle of the lid where the lens of the web camera is.
The touchpad is over sensitive to tapping, which is equivalent to left clicking a mouse. Just putting one's finger on the pad to slide it is often interpreted as a tap and so I managed to accidentally close or drop a folder into another one accidentally. I have now switched off the tapping action.
