Bad points:
the battery life is very bad doesn't even stay charged for an hour have to put on charge, probably because the battery was not new when bought but would have thought curry's would have put a new battery on a reconditioned computer, otherwise am very pleased with purchase

When loaded with Windows 7 a very fast laptop indeed, a lot slower with Vista, so does need the upgrade. Great Battery life and have had no problems at all.

Good points:
All in all a good alround laptop with 15.6" (16:10 aspect ratio) Clearbrite screen, 4gb ram 2.2 ghz cpu and a total of 500gb hdd space comes with windows vista basic I think. This system is more than capable of running windows 7 ultimate 32bit should you wish to consider this as a future option.

Graphics wise it is more than reasonable for image editing (photoshop and the like - plenty of system resources).

Plenty of usb socket and even has a HDMI connector.......... just add hdmi cable and plug your laptop straight into your HD Ready LCD TV and you get an instant monitor upgrade.

Wireless system is 802.11n draft on bthomehub it can connect @ 130mbps more than twice the speed of standard 54g wireless systems.

Windows experience rating is reasonable with a score between 3.0 and 4.0 (graphics being the low score however in the grand scheme of things not bad) everything else hardware wise is 5.0 and above.

overall weight of the laptop may be considered a little much if you intend on being mobile all day however it has a nice build quality to it and deserves a little forgiveness in this area.

Please remember that this is a reconditioned unit but as such when you receive it you would be no the wiser all looks brand new out of the box.
Bad points:
As with all laptops power consumption is always an issue, however this is helped with good control via power management and with reduced screen brightness wireless turned off max speed of cpu reduced it wouldn't be impossible to get maybe 3hrs ish (a little give either way) from a full charge, at normal use approx 1hr 50 to 2hrs 15 ish.

Not so much a bad point but maybe just a niggle as I think this system would have definitely deserved a Blu Ray Capable Player.

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Good size hard drive.
DVD burner good.
Useful feature/function buttons, keyboard nice. Pretty powerful, but slowed by Vista compared to XP
Bad points:
Cheap/flimsy build plastics, not a patch on my 5 year old Fujitsu Siemens.
Screen too "glossy" for use in bright light as too much reflection.
Irritating insensitive touchpad.
