Apple iPod Touch 8GB 2nd Generation MP3 Player Reviews

+ Fantastic Little Machine it does so much more than I 1st thought it would. The other day I was at friends house logged straight onto there wireless network watched a few videos on UTube .
I logged onto bbc IPlayer and watched last weeek Top Gear it sreamed perfectley not a glitch .
It is fantastic !!!

- Only wish I would have had the more money to buy one with more Memory =(

+ I bought it for my 14 year old son and he thinks it's brilliant. He loves being able to access the internet without having to get on to a computer. He has worked out how to use it by playing with it. He is very impressed with it. The sound quality is very good and picture quality also very good for watching music videos.

- It has been difficult to find out how to use the ipod touch, and whether it is possible to put dvd's on it. The battery life isn't too great and it has to be charged plugged into a computer, which is dificult sometimes.

- Would be nice if it came with a screen protector and protective cover instead of having more expense I think its neccessary as the IPod can scratch quite easily.

+ Great product, very easy to use and much more than just a mp3 player. 8GB large enough for most people. itunes direct link and Youtube link are fantastic, I can't put it down.

- Only that battry life is average, but new model gives 50% better life.

- having to ensure that you don't wipe off tunes when adding more music.

- sound level is limited. I find it difficult to reach an adequate sound level even with a pair of bose in-ear headphones

I had considered the Ipod classic for the extra memory but after a demonstration of the Ipod touch there was no contest!
I love the touch screen and, as a keen photographer, the screen size is excellent for showing my photographs.

- when you are typing web pages and messages ect the letters are a little close together and press the one next to it...

+ Bought this for my wife as a replacement for her old (faulty) ipod nano. She actually uses all the features and games she's downloaded far more than listening to music. She totally loves it and after a bit of a play myself I've decided to buy an iPhone..

+ It has a lot of features, and it's great the new iPoD touch has speakers with it compared to its older model. I like how the screen can be viewed at different angles/positions and can be magnified when viewing certain downloads.

- There's no proper manual provided with the iPOD touch. I had to figure out myself how to work out the different functions. I didn't even know I could magnify the screen and how till I was told by someone who has an iPOD too. While we can download music and games, we should be able to download videos and photos.

+ - Absolutely love the touchscreen interface, very intuitive and extremely fun!
- the overall physical design is sleek and well thought out, its very easy on the eye and sits in your hand perfectly.
- Huge range of purchasable and free apps to download via the Wi-Fi internet feature.
- Volume rocker button makes it easier to turn your music up or down on the go... an improvement on the 1st gen iTouch.

- - Battery life while playing any games is not brilliant.
- Touchscreen gets marked by fingerprints; even though these can be removed easily with the cleaning cloth that comes with it, it is a pain to be continually polishing it... so I would recommend a membrane skin for the screen :)
- Internal speaker sounds a bit tinny.

+ Connectivity is much quicker than I expected, and the quick links to You Tube etc are a very good feature!

+ i like the colour, it's very sleek and stylish. The buttons are easy to use and are easy to locate. I also like the curved back because its easier to handle.

- It scratches quite easily on the back, even when it's handled carefully.

- None really.....unless you really wanted to annoy your neighbours, you perhaps couldn't quite get the volume ;)

+ Versatility - didn't know it would double up as a sleep and relaxation aid but there are lots of free easy to use applications that you can load onto your touch that will help you do that and more!

- An stylus might help as you need to touch very small areas when typing or browsing Internet

+ It is a smart and compact. It holds lots of music and video, pictures and much more. Its fun to use and easily transported about.

- It took a bit of time to get my cd's onto it, but once i had figured it out its fine.

+ As above , sounds great, can get movies now from itunes and you can connect directly to itunes using Wi-Fi aswell as checking emails.

- Unless you buy a protective cover the steal casing can be scratched by velcro from a sports arm band and you are forever cleaning greasy finger prints off the darn thing, but it does come with a cleaning cloth.

+ Great as a gift for a none technical person. The screens are brilliant and they work a treat with Itunes.

- Useless as a standard media player to locked down. More pretty than functional.

+ Very easy to use, sound quality is excellent and seperates all your music down into albums and playlists which are easy to find and select.

- Very unreliable. Already within 1 month 2 songs i have purchased have vanished from my iPod. They are still on my iTunes on my pc however it is a pain having to keep plugging it in an syncing over and over even though i have made no changes. Also since i have had my iPod Touch it has crashed and had to be restored 5 times (over once a week). Which means it is totally useless until connected to your pc and restored from iTunes, a process which takes me over 1 hour due to the fact i have 400 songs on my iPod. However i can fit thousands of songs onto the iPod so i dread to think how long it will take me in the future.

+ pretty much everythings good about it its got all u need on there. the wifis good theres an endleess amount off apps for it. it light, its so easy to use and its pretty fast.

- its a little bit to big and most of the time u need to use both hands on it and takes to much space in ur pocket.

- To get the free applications from itunes you have to submit a credit/debit card number. Not a great idea when a child owns the player. Most young kids have neither.

- it is hard to operate and install onto itunes, needs more information on instalation and also a itunes install disk as not all ipod owners have access to internet.

+ If you travel around, this device is fantastic, with it's Wi-Fi, map applications that you can download and music you're good to go!

- You're always going to be frightened about damaging the touch screen, but to be honest it does feel solid!
