Cabinet has a great layout for housing AV systems, there's nothing else close to it that I could find in retail stores
The modern design is great, and always gets comments from visitors.
-
The cable management could be improved, given that this is designed to take a number of AV components (hifi, home theatre, games consoles, etc).
The cutouts at the back were not big enough I found, after putting the unit together I had to then resort to a getting out a dremmel drill to make the cutouts bigger. maybe some ventilation holes near the top at the back might be useful, given the heat thrown out by AV systems.

Solid and well built.
-
Not really deep enough for an AV amp/receiver, fine for DVD players, freeview boxes and the like. I had to leave the back of in the end which allowed the amp to squeeze in. No big deal really as you can't see the back at all. Very difficult to wire everything up once it is in place. Best to leave the top off the cabinet, wire things up and then put the top on.

Good quality, looks brilliant and enhances the look of plasma tv's.

A bit fiddly to put together. Only other thing is it could do with another shelf either side to avoid using the bottom shelf as I've found the the thick wood on the door stops the signal of the remote on some items placed there. I have to stand up and move closer to use the remote/leave the door open when using my dvd player.

Very sturdy built, simple design - fits in with most furniture. Lots of room for inside the unit - currently mine's filled with a PS3, stereo, Wii, router, V+ HD box, modem, games and still plenty of room for more
-
Can't help but feel its still rather expensive for what is basically mdf and glass - would expect solid wood really. Could do with more cooling vents, PS3 fans come in very easily

Well built, looks smart, nice door mechanism, enough depth & height (Just about) for AV receivers/ Full ATX HTPC Cases. Loads more room than most non-glass AV cabinets on the market.
-
Poor airflow for high end AV equipment although I left the back panel off, which solved this problem and also made cable management easier. It’s also worth noting, the colour is more like red oak than light oak. That said, it doesn't look too out of place with my other oak furniture and oak floor.

Watch out for AV equipment overheating - e.g. Microsoft Xbox 360 tends to get very hot unless you leave the door open (but that is a bit of a hazard as someone may trip / step on it!). Relatively minor negative though in overall terms.

Looks great, and the glass front stops dust whilst allowing IR remote controls to work. The door opening and closing is really cool as it operates on a damper and spring so it won't crash open or slam shut. Also it will self close the last few centimeters which looks great. The interior capacity is really good too; I have AV amp, LD player, DVD player, BlueRay and Humax Digital TV HHD boxes in mine and there is also space in the middle for the Wii.

This cabinet looks and feels like a quality product. I spent a lot of time searching for a TV cabinet to suit my requirements before I decided on this one, and I didn't find anything else for a similar price that would rival this - it is excellent value for money. In my experience you would have to spend more than double to get anything any where near this standard. The cabinet looks fantastic too. I did read some reviews prior to ordering, and many of them said that the holes at the back were too small for the cables. I think this design problem may have been rectified recently, as I found the holes to be more than adequate to accommodate cabling for my sky box and DVD sound surround system.
-
If there was one problem, I would say that it was in following the first few instructions for putting it together. This was because the actual pieces didn't match those on the printed booklet. However, I think this was due to another improvement that has been made, which is that vents have now been put in the base (I presume in response to feedback that the cabinet could get quite hot), and as there were no pieces with vents on the printed instructions, it took me a few minutes to work out which was the top & which was the base. Once 'I'd worked that one out, I put the cabinet together fairly quickly.

Piece of cake to put together, and an extremely well made cabinet that looks gorgeous once assembled.
Space is good too, with adjustable glass shelves, although there is once caveat - see bad points.
I've seen mention of heat and ventilation issues, which I had some problems with at first as I had my AV amp and Sky HD box on top of each other, but shuffling them around so they are opposite sides seems to have completely solved that problem.
Pretty much kiddy and kitty proof!!
-
Be careful of the internal measurements as they don't take into account the width of the hinge mechanism, and probably knock about 1.5 cms off the width, which can make fitting a full size amp in a bit of a tight squeeze. My Denon 1910 JUST fits.
If you're running component AV rather than HDMI you may find the sheer bulk of cables a problem for the cable management slots, but HDMI is fine.

Good build quality and fairly straightforward to assemble.
Clear assembly instructions.
The final result looks good and suits my requirements very well.
-
An extra 5mm width in the wider shelves would have been a significant advantage when it came to placing traditional standard-size (44cm width) hi-fi separates on them. They are fractionally too wide to fit alongside the hinge assemblies of the front door, so they had to be placed 5cm further back on the shelves, which means that access to them is not quite ideal.

Looks great and has a quality feel to it.

The unit does not need to be so deep seeing as it is made for thin plasma/LCD TV's, would therefore take up less room space.
