+ Never had a tumble dryer before so I don't have anything to compare with but it doesn't make too much noise and the drying times seem reasonable now we've put the dryer in the kitchen. (We did put it in the garage first of all and it was taking 3 hours plus to do a reasonably small load. We think it was too cold in the garage and the dryer couldn't warm up enough. It does mention this in the instructions but I didn't think it would make that much difference). It's quite simple to use too.

- None really - I'm quite happy with it

+ The Zanussi ZDC47100W is a good quality machine with easy to use settings. It has a pleasingly low noise level and a range of features including sensor drying which stops the machine when your clothes are dry, even if you have set the timer for longer. This saves energy (and therefore money). The reverse action drum is large and it can take alot of washing.

- The only slight drawback is the location of the water tank which you have to empty regularly. It is right at the bottom of the machine so you have to get down on your knees to open the release catch which frees the tank. In my opinion would be easier to handle if it was in a drawer at the top but this is only a slight gripe about an otherwise excellent machine.

+ Large drum size and good cycle times. Looks good and is easy to use once you get to grips with the user manual, which could do with having better illustrations. The "sensor" drying feature is excellent as you do do have to set the timer for any particular length of time.

- Not so energy efficient and slightly noisy. User manual not so user-friendly.

+ Very quiet and easy to use, dries very well without tangling the washing. This tumble dryer compared to my last one, a Creda, is absolutely wonderful. Although the Creda was only a year old it was awful so very noisey that we couldn't stay in the house when it was on and it didn't reverse for more than a few seconds resulting in tangled washing. So my new Zanussi is marvellous thankyou.

- The only bad point is that the door opens on the wrong side for our access and we can't reverse it without paying about £50.00 or more by a qualified engineer. So at the moment it is very awkward.

+ Quicker, quieter and more efficient than my previous non-sensor condenser dryer. Clothes come out dry and are well distributed in the drum. Great price too.

- It seems to put a little bit more moisture into the air compared to my old Whirlpool - but I can live with that. Also condensor tray is at the bottom of the machine, good for stacking, but not so good for being positioned on the floor if bending down could be a problem to you.

+ Quiet. Takes a good load of washing. No more wet clothes around the house. Auto-modes (cupboard dry or extra dry) do what they say on the tin. So much less now needs ironing. My wife loves it.

+ First tumble dryer and very impressed. Doesnt make a huge noise but the main thing is it doesnt vibrate and the drum doesnt clang around as washing machines can. Automatic settings work well. Great addition to a family home.

+ The best thing about this dryer is that you can tumble as long as you want, but only as long as you need, as the dryer has the switchoff function when drying completed adequately .Very quiet too, audible alarm telling you cycle is completed. Easy maintenance.

+ The fact the door opens from the left (Hinged on the right) is the main factor i brought this, It is easy to use and their are variety of cycles I only use 2 but the choice is their. The drum is big so i dont have to iron many of the clothes.

Type of Dryer	Condenser
Vented dryers have a hose which transfers the waste, damp air out of the machine and through a hole in the wall or a window to the outside. They are less expensive than condenser machines but the hose means they need to be placed by an outside wall. Condenser machines collect the excess water within the machine which can then be emptied after use. They therefore do not need a hose and can be placed anywhere in the house.

Type of Loading	Front Loading
This refers to where you can load the washing into the machine.
