- Difficult to clean and keep clean. Enamel on hob grilles is breaking down.
Oven has manual ignition (did not realise at the time of purchase). Overall, the cooker is not as good as the 25-year old one it replaced.

+ Does what it says on the box.

- The lid will not lay flat and the hob surface coating appears thin, not sure how it will wear only time will tell.

+ it's easy to keep clean,partly because of it's design and the fold down cover

- i think the smallest burner should be at the front right for small frying and boiling jobs and the larger burner at the back for heavier boiling and cooking jobs I think this would safer thanks

+ See through doors very good so that you can see whats cooking.Hobs very good with instant heat the moment you turn them on.Dual oven good especially when cooking a big meal for lots of people.

- Interior of oven offers very limited space and my larger tins will not fit in . This is probably due to the fact that each shelf has a baffle fitted which restricts the depth of the oven making it impossible to cook large quantities. Its difficult to simmer things on the hobs as even when the gas is turned down to minimum pans boil too rapidly and cook things too quickly.

+ Looks good, general performance is satisfactory.

- Top oven does not seem to be as hot as the lower oven,when supposably the same temperature, and therefore takes longer to cook. The knob needs to be held in once the grill has lit for quite a while and it is annoying, as to start with we were consistently releasing the knob too soon and had to repeat the process.

- the grilles over the burners are not very steady dont seem to sit properely,
not entirely safe! grill is quite slow

- Same external measurements as my old oven but internal measurements much smaller, should be stated in sales blurb. Burners in inappropriate places, large one at front and small at back, if you're cooking with several saucepans you have to lean over big one to reach small one.Handles for oven doors stick out further than dimensions stated which caused problems when it was installed.

+ nice level, for hob good control on heat, top oven very handy for additional dishes to be cooked at different temperature to main oven simmering ring and rapid ring, with two standards very useful

- can not regulate the grill just one setting the plates for gas can be knock easily, and can react to certain cleaning substances causing then to tarnish.

+ straight forward to use, having the option of two ovens is really usefull, nice looking product

- Ignition system is very annoying. The oven randomly goes out in the midst of cooking so has to be checked every 10 minutres to make sure it is still alight. I wish I hadn't bought this cooker!

- The frame that you stand the cooking pots on does not cater for variable
sizes of pots. The material of the burners is very difficult to keep clean. The top oven doesn`t get hot enough and the grill heat is not adjustable.

- rubber seal around top cooker tends to catch when opening the oven door,this apparently is a design fault not just an issue with my cooker

- After ignition the oven switch has to be be depressed (held in) for approximatly 30 seconds otherwise when it
is released too soon the oven goes out.

+ I particularly like the top oven as I live on my own & its so much more economical to use. The cooker is very goo to look at & the glass lid keeps it all neat & tidy!

+ good looking, double oven is very good value - for the price you get a lot of oven space in a compact overall shape and of course the flexibility of two ovens, appears well made and built to last.

- lack of variable grill means adjusting the height of the grill pan, works fine, just need to relearn how to use it! main oven shelf has large heat deflector which limits the depth of the tray, fine for most of the time but huge pizza's may not fit.

- The only bad point is is sometimes take a while for the oven to ignite.

+ Easy to use. Great to have two ovens, especially as our family have left home and there is just the two of us, with the smaller oven good for use on a daily basis and the larger on family get- togethers.

- Does not seem quite so robust as my last one, but as I have not had for long yet I might change my mind.

+ Two different sized ovens are economical to use and use less energy for small quantities of cooking. It's easy to clean, although the colour makes it harder to see dirt. Safety function on the glass lid is very useful, although I've not needed to use it so far!

- Hob is badly designed. The 'grids' that support pots over the flame are shaped in a way that they only sit on the hob in one way, the corners are shaped only slightly differently from front to back and side to side, but the difference is so slight that it's hard to judge. The well they sit it is also very shallow. I had a nasty accident where a pot of boiling water slid into me when the 'grid' slipped as it had been put the wrong way around after cleaning.

+ The cooker has a double oven facility which is useful and glass doors so you can view cooking food without opening the door.

- The grill/top oven has a fan cooling system that is noisy and you have no way of turning it off. The cooker does it automatically when it has reached the cooled temperature. This is really annoying to listen to if you are eating at the table in your kitchen.
No light in the top oven so you have to open it to view food.
I am currently awaiting a repair visit as from purchase the main oven goes out repeatedly when both ovens are in use.
Both ovens are covered internally in a protective grease (or something?) on arrival and this is supposed to burn off if you leave them on for an hour when you first get the cooker. 2 months later it still smells nasty and of chemicals whenever I cook. Not great with two small children.

+ Very easy to us, has the benefit of electronic ignition that plugs into a normal socket. The glass lid has safety cut out, and the clock has a minute reminder that alarms. It has an oven light in the main oven.

- The 500 width model is quite small, so you can only fit a certain size baking tray. Also the shelves have a back plate attached so you cannot put one shelf directly under the other. When you put the tray under the grill the food rolls to the front as you have to slant it to get it under.

+ A good compact cooker

- The glass lid dose not close flush with the top of the cooker and the seal catches on the top oven.

+ easy to use, cleans nice and easy, good cooking performance.

- ovens too small, had to replace our large roasting tins for smaller ones.

- I did not exspect the inside of this cooker to be smaller than my old one as the overall outside size was the same.

- The grill is quiet slow, but this is something I have found in the past when it is part of the small oven.

- The grill door has to be opened when cooking and there is no control valve u can use to discoonect suply of gas to the cooker (it will be nice to have as a safety valve for children who play with gas cooker control knobs

+ Heats up quickly. Cooks efficiently. both ovens can get to mark 9 or run at 1/2 for slow cooking.

- Instructions for setting the clock are not clear - explains how to set the clock but not what to do to get out of setting mode.

+ Quite a nice design, cooks food evenly.

- The shelves in the bottom oven aren't very deep so the average baking tray won't fit in it; I can't even put one of the round pizza trays in it. It takes forever to warm up and food takes ages to cook. The Belling people told me you have to put it on full blast for 10 minutes to warm it up properly before putting food in and that's just how ovens are but I had my last oven for 26 years and it always heated up straight away with no problems. If I could have my old oven back I'd take it in a flash! Oh and the bulb in the bottom oven went on the 3rd day of using it! Would not recommend this to any one!

+ Compact, smart looking. Just changed from an electric oven, and find the gas hob much more convenient.

- No visible thermostat, so have to guess when oven is correct temperature.

+ Easy to clean, nice to look at, efficient hob.

- Oven is too shallow. I didn't think of measuring to see if my current ovenware would fit. Be warned.

- Grill takes a while to 'get going' an upgrade to next model up with variable grill power might be advisable if you want speed. With this model it doe get there but takes about 5- 10 mins to reach get really hot and start grilling.

+ For a small cooker it is very good value for money however it would not suit a large family.

- The top oven is very tempermental and often fails to remain lit! This is particularly the case if trying to operate both ovens at the same time.

+ Appearance of the cooker is good.

- The bad points are: the top oven does not get as hot as the bottom oven and does not seem to reach the set temperature. The grill also takes ages to grill food compared to my old cooker.

+ Aesthetically the best looking 50cm gas cooker we could find for this price. The gas knobs feel more substantial compared to others of the same price, small point but the others felt plasticey and like they could fall off at any time. The double oven is very useful on a unit of this size.

- Minor point about the control of the burners, I cannot get a very low flame from the largest burner so i have to light a smaller one and move the pan.

- The cooker's oven is toooo small the inner walls are very thick, normal baking trays don't fit inside, design floor. very poor
