+ You can open the door into the cycle, say if you have forgotten to wash an item. You don't have a lengthy wait till the door opens etc. Find the alarm going off when it is finished useful and can immediately load it into the tumble-dryer and put the next load in - efficient. We had a 6kg drum before and find a 7kg drum very useful - do actually wonder how we managed before. Like the display telling you how much longer you have before the cycle ends - helps with planning. Good that it has a handwash cycle - have washed curtains, cushion covers, handkitted baby clothes as well as usual stuff and all has come out well. Better on stains than previous machine.

- Toddler can easily press the pause button and stop the cycle without you knowing.

- Default temperature should be 40 degrees. The part load programme information in the handbook does not tally with the programme information on the machine.

+ This is a good machine: quiet and efficient, with good spin. It also has separate spin and rinse cycles, so if you want to handwash something, then spin it, you can do so easily without trying to guess where the spin starts on one of the wash cycles. You can also set it to wash at night, but delay the spin till morning, so spun stuff doesn't get crumpled sitting overnight. It is v easy to use: I didn't need to read the instruction booklet. Only had it a month, so can't comment on long-term reliability . It was, however a Which best buy.

- These are minor quibbles: 1. Cycles are a bit rigid, eg I might want faster spin on some synthetics cycles, but machine doesn't allow it. Can always re-spin on seperate spin cycle later, however. 2. If you've forgotten to put something in the wash, you can't open the door in the middle of a wash cycle, but have to begin again.

- You can't turn off the beeping noise at the end of the cycle. And it goes on and on and on unless you turn the machine off. It's highly annoying!

+ Great machine, plenty of programmes, the all important timer, 1400 spin means clothes come out practically dry!

- Clothes often feel stiff - suggesting that the rinse efficiency is not too good - even when extra rinse is selected
Selecting any of the cotton or synthetic programs sets the temperature to 60 degc by default. I believe most people wash at 40 degC these days. So you have to remember to select 40 degC each wash.

Wide options for washes is fine - but is such a wide choice really needed? Some overkill here.
Single knob for control is neat and convenient
The LED display is an excellent feature

- The 60 degrees default temperature for several of the wash options is too high - should be 40 degrees, as most fabric labels declare this to be the maximum wash temperature. This is a VERY bad specification fault.
'Clunking' noise at start up is alarming !

+ A good all round machine, it replacesd the equivalent make and model which was 16 years old. Simple to use, shows the wash time as it goes through the cycle. Energy saving cycles.

- The front is bulbous and sticks out more than our old machine, it was only a problem because it was in a corner position and the adjacent draws fouled the front. I had to relocate the machine. Something to be aware of.

+ silent and i like the unique jet system wash. I like the display and thre glass door is large so you can see whats going on in there and overall the feel off the way it has been designed, i also like the fact it has a filter that i can clean myself.

- the only thing i dont like is the twist knob, I would have preferred a flatter approach or a knob that when you have finished you press and it clicks in so then the top of the washer is a ll flat no sticky out bits.not keen on the pull out tray it seems a bit of an old design and never been updated, possibly exchange with something more modern? women love gadgets too :)

+ Very pleased with machine, it looks good and I like the fact that you can change the temperature and spin settings on certain programmes. Especially good is the size of the drum, fits it lots of washing. Also like the display that shows the length of the programme so you know when the washing will be finished.

- I wish the bleep that comes on to tell you when the programme has finished would stop bleeping after a length of time.
