+ Very simple, clean looking design. Having no knobs makes it so easy to clean. Large glass doors makes viewing into the ovens easy from standing and not having to bend down, although this is ruined by the handles! Setting the hob to "auto" which brings pots to the boil then turns them down is great, as is the feature with the ovens turning on to preset temperatures - just switch it on- it's great!

- Door handles spoil the large glass oven doors by obscuring the view into the ovens.

+ Looks good. Light in the top oven.You can use the grill with the door shut. Many different timers. More choice of hob temperatures than i'v been used to in the past. Child lock.

- it does take quite a while to get the hang of the touch controls but thats new technology for you. Grill handle a little fiddly. My big oven tray doesn't fit in this oven, though it's the same width as i usually buy.

+ Didn't take long to get used to using the touch controls. Very easy to use. Top oven/grill a good size. Glass doors give excellent vision to both ovens. I did a great deal of research before I purchased this cooker but really pleased with my decision to buy this one.

- Grill pan handle needs a bit of re-designing, not the easiest to put together. (I am using the old one from my previous cooker). When you are switching off the plates make sure you set them back to zero first because it is very easy to accidentally switch the plates on if you are working near the cooker. (The touch control On switch can pick up if you pass your hand over it). Would have liked a third oven shelf.

+ Very Easy to Use & Clean. Instant Controlability,Good Audible Warning when the Oven has reached the desired Tempature,Oven is well illuminated so you can see how the food is cooking. The Fan in the oven is very quiet compared to my pervious cooker. I know this cooker cost alot more than other cookers you could buy,but I would recommend this cooker very highly as the one to buy.

- I have used this cooker for a month now and so far haven't came across any bad points.

- This cooker seems slower than our previous one so we have increased the recommended temperatures.
The manual is rather vague and certainly does not explain all of the indicaters that appear on the control panel.

- the child lock is needed to avoid the hob being used accidently, which is good, however to overide and turn the hob on is terrible, it takes ages to get the safe lock off just to use the oven or hob. It usually takes about 8 attemps before the the hob will release the safety lock.

+ Being touch sensitive, there are no dials to get messy and therefore creates a very clean design.

- I consider the doors to be a bad design because spillage from the hotplates drips down between the two glass plates and the inner one is very fiddly and awkward to remove for cleaning. The grill could have had the facility to use just one half if grilling only a small item.

+ Style, quality, performance and so far reliability are typical of Zanussi products. Controls are responsive and clear (NB point re fingertip control below). Ovens are both up to the job as is the grill. To date there is little I would fault the cooker on.

- Bad is too strong a word but you need to get used to the fingertip controls and the grill pan handle needs to be mastered but once both are understood then all is fine. It is for this reason the ease of use rates only 8 but that will go up as these points are mastered.

+ With no knobs, it looks streamlined and is very easy to clean. Hob heats quickly, and is as good as my previous halogen hob.
Oven cooks evenly and well

- Touch pads are very sensitive, and easy to switch on or off - usuakky off by accident. But it does 'beep' tyo tell you you have done it.

+ The style is nice and modern and the buttonless controls help to keep the surfaces clean and safe.

- The controles take a little time to get used to but when you get the hang of it all the functions you need are there.
Also the enamel is a bit on the weak/thin side, as I have managed to get a small chip on one corner already.

+ Loved the 'clean lines' of no knobs on the hob and the removable glass door linings.

- The hob controls. Once we worked out how to use it (the manual could be better) we found a few problems. We have a big Tefal frying pan and, when used on the front rings, if the pan ovelaps the buttons (even briefly) it turns on the back rings!
Also we've found that while the human finger sometimes doesn't operate the buttons first time, we only have brush aginst them with the end of our oven gloves and things get switched on! Actually not very safe that.
Add to this that we use the same pans on this hob that we used on our 15 year-old previous ceramic hob and while the old hob never got scratched, the new one has...ALREADY!

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Fan ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time. Multifunction ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
